It is not just his great play it is his demeanor. He is so easy to cheer for without guilt. Often when McBeast is going and going just showing all of us disc golf lovers how to make things hard look easy I get this echo in my head, "he is moving like a tremendous machine" (if not the best phrase in top ten of all sports - Secretariat at Belmont Stakes showing the world, all of history for all of eternity that that he was and is the best horse ever).
What they said about putting being confidence is so true. I used to be really bad at putting. It put a strain on my game because if I was further than 5ft out I didn't know if I would make it or not. I started warming up putting before playing and now just the other day I hit 2 30ft putts, which for me is huge. For me it's a visual thing seeing my disc go in the basket from a certain distance gives my brain something to remember when I have to step up to that same putt during the round. Before all I remembered was coming up short the past 4500 times before. Makes me think a lot of people are better putters than they think.
Tough day for Nikko, anyone would be frustrated with the way some of those putts went. No idea if he was flipping out off camera, but what was shown he was pretty calm compared to old Nikko, given the way his round went. The Discraft ad while Nikko is frustrated picking up his disc is perfection. 14:28
I feel like I'm on repeat: great coverage, Jomez! Solid boothwork, guys. There were a few shots that I thought were deserving of follow-flights, but overall, good stuff. I hate seeing Nikko catching such bad breaks, he's an electric figure to watch! Paul is rolling along, doing it up strong.
thanks jomez and thanks commentators! great job. Wish you were commentating more often robert. hey robert, isn't there some financial benefit to DD to sponsor some new baskets for this course?
I want to give a shout out to Nikko for keeping it together after missing all those putts. This is very different to the Nikko of old. Well done, Nikko!
If youre gonna be watching the putts from your car at the edge of the green, id imagine you could at least wait until theyre done putting to start driving away. Not usually a stickler for that kinda stuff but its pretty annoying.
So did the Vulture replace McBeth's Undertakers? Seems to have a similar flight for him, or could it just be that he doesn't bag Undertakers for open courses?
ye, for windy open courses it would be wise to use the vulture instead. for normal throwers its alot more overstable, but for paul its just perfect. but wondering if that really was the vulture? the test flight of his new fairway is out, and that should be close to a vulture in flight, just tuned for mcbeth. maybe its not pdga approved yet.
I have to get my hands on one of those tie-dye shirts with the basket on it. If your the guy wearing it on hole 18 next to the tree while Chris Clemons is putting, where did you purchase that shirt or maybe you made it yourself? Where can I buy one? Love that shirt, love to add that to my extensive tie-dye collection.
If it's a Mach 3 basket and you insist on continuing to put with hyzer angle and firm pace like Zach does, then cut-throughs are going to happen. It's only a question of when it will happen, not if. It's not surprising. Don't blame the basket. Steve Brinster has always had the same issue, for the same reason.
Ever notice how the really good putters seem have the least problems with the older baskets? Watching the BSF last week with the new Innova chains installed, I saw so many marginal, outside putts rewarded. Is that really the way it should be? Putting is too easy, I read, but the baskets should also catch everything?
I just enjoy disc golf. The best usually shown by Jomez are so much better than I am that they are almost playing a different sport. Ah, but I like history too. I am curious. Who if anyone was Nikko's early "handlers" and what do they say about their efforts? I am a casual player since I took the sport up four years ago but even with only that I believe that he could have been one of the best if not for him being so emotionally weak. I am just curious as to what kept him from being top ten. Yeah, though a casual player I did coach before retirement another sport that generated many, many successful athletes. On top of that I have the very real personal experience of two sons one clearly better than the other but yet the hard working just loving every moment, the "lesser" skilled of the two, got a full ride to a division one school. The other did great and fun things to watch at D2 not full ride. It is layered and already typing too much for today's world but does anyone have any insight in to why this Nikko guy failed to live up to his natural ability?
this is a monster of a course. hole 13 does not play like 330, or the 350 mentioned by whoever the frig robert mccall is. this is out of reach for most average players, it plays like almost 400
Lots of complaining about the baskets in these videos, and sometimes justified, but it got so any putt that caught some chains was being blamed for the miss. I've played probably 80% of my golf on these baskets, and they won't often give you the outside marginal putts-doesn't make them horrible baskets as is being presented here.
Phil Johnson Could make the same argument for anything ... grounds maintenance, crowd control, course design, etc.; however, I make the assertion that if courses want to host pro events they should put the effort into keeping their course relevant. Compare KC to Idlewild....
I really don't understand why when we mention AJ's solo eagle on 11 we can't just add a short clip to the production? Not complaining because Jomez gives us so much but in this and other cases it would have improved the show... Again thanks to the team, just feedback!
Are you telling me there isn't someone out there smart enough to design baskets that won't spit out? It's the worst thing about our sport.... Things like that doesn't happen in any other sport, basketball, golf, etc....
Badgerspvcoach ellis I agree, but lipouts and toilet bowls happen in those other sports, as well. Personally, I would give 1/2 point for drawing metal. That would cause some strategy shifts...
Darin Ladd , I’m not talking about that. Disc golf is the only sport where you can hit dead center (perfect putt) and have it come out. Rimming would be more comparable to catching chains, but not having it stick...
Craig Therrien compared to what he used to do... he’s fine. Imagine playing in front of a huge crowd and a camera crew. Just normal human emotion man chill out.
100% of rounds with Nikko in it are just 30 minutes of him raging like a child. Punches the basket on hole #11. I don’t understand how he is still a sponsored pro with an attitude like that. I would hate to be on his card.
Raymond Vorndran how so? Lying about not wanting to be on his card? Sorry I’m not the star struck type. People are people no matter what their career is. I would not tolerate his toxicity beyond the first hole.
I mean no disrespect, but Robert McCall absolutely dominated the conversation here and failed to take a breath for the entire time. It was downright distracting, and most of the explanations were unnecessary.
Thank you for spending a part of your weekend with us. If you're reading this please take a second to give the vid a thumbs up! ❤️⛓️
you folks are the best!!! Keep up the great work.
Proud of you Nikko. You didn’t let your anger get the best of you and kept pushing. Keep it up
Happy father's day to all the other disc golf Dads out there! Thanks Jomez!

watching Nikko play disc golf is like riding in the car with my dad.
That is the single best definition of watching Nikko I've ever heard! The tension is unbearable.
Locash is the Mach 3 of pairings.
AJ is officially my favorite commentator now. Since he correctly called the bales on 11 straw bales. Not hay bales like everyone else calls them.
Great coverage as always! Enjoying AJ and Robert doings commentary!

Really enjoyable commentary, fun and informative. AJ and Robert are a great combo!
Nothing better than old tournament videos in the off-season
24:46
"That's NOT!"
So awesome commentary ^^
Happy fathers day to jomez and all the disc golf dads out there
I feel like I'm on repeat: great coverage, Jomez! Solid boothwork, guys. There were a few shots that I thought were deserving of follow-flights, but overall, good stuff. I hate seeing Nikko catching such bad breaks, he's an electric figure to watch! Paul is rolling along, doing it up strong.
Awesome seeing coverage of my local courses
I like the commentary cam!
Micah LaPuma Thanks!
Nice commentary by AJ and Robert, nice filming, great playing with difficult baskets, especially from Paul McBeth, thumbs up.
Strong moves on moving day by The Beast. Thanks JomezPro!
Great commentary!
Thanks for taking the time to give us such great coverage.
Loving the look of the course
Definitely enjoying watching some new courses this year.
Thanks guys 😬
Love A.J.'s laid back commentating approach. :)
hahahaha "Museum of Farming"! We have a "Museum of Spatulas" in Clover! As always, thanks to the best film crew on the planet! JOMEZ for prezzzz!
I live for JomezPro
Good to see some lefthanded play beeing featured. Keep up the good work.
Nikko looks like my mom after she's been working around the house all day. minus the beard lolol
@@ogs1mpson609 🤣😂
Nice to see that Locastro has matured.
5:44 Haha it's the dude from workaholics
Great commentary team 👍

What happened to Uli???
Those baskets though.
Paul always has the sickest discs I want that zone so bad haha
Thank you Jomez.
AJ you should don a pair of capri joggers
Thanks Jomez!!!
Nikko won the hair game.
I want to give a shout out to Nikko for keeping it together after missing all those putts. This is very different to the Nikko of old. Well done, Nikko!

So you chime in to whine about things you can't control...brilliant bruh!
@@raymondvorndran4306 And you chime in to whine about people you cant control. Equally brilliant
Raymond Vorndran Don’t you think it’s something that needs be said? Without gatekeepers, you get “Bababooey!”
So did the Vulture replace McBeth's Undertakers? Seems to have a similar flight for him, or could it just be that he doesn't bag Undertakers for open courses?

Elliot Gh0st Yeah apparently his new fairway is similar to the Discmania PD
The people using their car's like golf carts... merica.

can't believe NIkko failed to capitalize on the eagle chance on hole 11! that had to hurt...insane 2nd shot
27:50 Risley calling for the steroid era in disc golf? 😂⚾️🥏
Best community out there ❤
thank you jomez
killing it again!
17:18 Probably
Nikko the drama queen!
Hard to believe what Paul's scorecard would have looked like if he had made that one 20' putt. Especially when you factor the course/wind.
Lmao at niko

Nikko to Discmania? Bagging a P2 and FD3.

He was arguably the best in the world at one point. won USDGC
There’s the Nikko we all know and love
Hitting the cage on nearly every putt and then pouting? Sounds about right 😅
“Straight outta Locash!”
Love me some jomez
Has to be one of the most boring -11 I have ever seen haha... McBeth the robot haha, great playing and wonderful commentary. Thanks guys!
Can someone tell robert every second does not need noise...i got a headache and muted it by hole 16...he just wont shut up
bill hayes I too suffered from commentary fatigue and it wasn’t from AJ. Always great coverage from Jomez but RM needs to button it up a bit IMO.
Nice
Gee, I wonder if Paul will win.
Nikko finally letting those chains have it at 8:20
Poor zach. So many close putts from RANGE
It's a wrap. Hand the trophy to Mcbeast.
44k views and 800 likes...something is wrong with these people.

Just got home from watching Paul for the win on a beautiful Kansas day, thanks Jo Mez for all your amazing videos.
Goog video

The front nine was almost boring but on the back nine we see the Nikko we know and...
I don’t think anyone watching this thinks a 200’ shot is no big deal...

Paul is so much better than Nikko
Nikko needs to work 12hr shifts for the next year.
Would love to see more of Robert! (and less of AJ....)

Cant stand robert on the mic. He has to explain every excuse out on the course
Sucks that Nikko didn’t get that albatross that’s a once in a lifetime opportunity
Oh wait
*like*
I'm sorry but I can't stand watching Nikko play. He's a huge baby.
Craig Therrien compared to what he used to do... he’s fine. Imagine playing in front of a huge crowd and a camera crew. Just normal human emotion man chill out.

So do you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus you hate yourself!!!!!!!!!!
ok.
capri joggers? respect for what? Going on the disc golf course and youtube looking like a tool?

Every negative post.
Nikko dresses as bad as he putts
You whine, and cry on social media???
I dont enjoy Risley speaking at all lol
