We went on the hunt for the missing pieces of the floor for the inside of the first building.
"...plywood, we have this in the city..." Brilliant, lol.
I grew up in western USA calling those Doodle Bugs. The official classification name is rather cool, Armadillidiidae
Good Job, we all wanted you to find some ancient keltic / welsh artifact .. but hey, a level floor will be more useful. :D
Loved how much effort you put into the advert! Shows your creativity and sense of adventure
Thanks 😄
Great job fitting those slates. Another vote for rolly pollies.
You guys have come along way since your first video... much more relaxed lol
Haha yes, it takes some getting used to.
Well done on the floor repair. 👍 That poor cherub! LOL Love that shed and some great finds in there. Have a great week ahead!
Thank you 🙂
Nice one. Maybe leave a time capsule next time? Thanks for posting. Look forward to the next one, now that the better weather seems to be on its way. 👍🏻
Yes I saw a comment in a previous video about a time capsule and I do like that idea. There will be other chances to put one in somewhere.
Sir as a person who loves to metal detect, I love the little coin spill you put in to confuse the future finder. 😅
Overtime, the floor will look like it was all laid at the same time 🙂. But if future archeologists find those coins they are going to be totally baffled how the 20th/21st century preceded the floor construction!
I've install every kind of floor you can imagine over the last 44 years, you did a very good job!
Thank you, it's holding up pretty well so far!
5:29 no we call them Rollie-pollies! Lol (only some ppl say “pill bugs” it’s about 50/50)
I was going to correct your spelling because I've always seen it as "roly poly", but when I double checked, I found out that lots of people call them all kinds of different things and people do spell it the way you did. 👍
I wasn't familiar with either term. Looking online I think they're a different species to what we call 'woodlice' in the UK, but they definitely look similar
The German word is very boring. It's "Kellerassel" (both singular and plural).
Now I'm curious where your wife is from, how you 2 met, and how you decided that Wales would be your home (as opposed to the US). Need the whole story.
The floor looks great! And your assistant is adorable!
Thank you!! 😊
Anytime you clean the shed it’s like Christmas right?? Well, sort of lol…
Good job on the floor🤗❤️🐝
It's a satisfying task for sure!
@@afontirs 🤗
the re-patched floor looks in keeping with what is there. Give it a year to find its level and repack and you would never know there was a hole
That's my hope!
Very nice job on the floor!
Nicely done, fun episode to watch.
VERY ENJOYABLE, THAT WORKED OUT EXTREMELY WELL, AND GREETINGS FROM THE STATES. CHEERS!
Great video and the floor looks perfect!
Nice job dude! It fits in with the rest 👌💯💯💯
Can't believe you've come so far. Well done.
Well done that boy and supervisor.
As always an enjoyable video !
Pill bug, Roly poly, land shrimp, wood lice, wood louse, potato bug, doodle bug, slater, carpenter....a rose by any other name....
Well done. That looks lovely.
Looks great....well done!!
Yes. Pill bugs in Canada too... or rolly-pollys.
Very well done in my personal opinion. 🥰🇨🇦🥳
Absolutely love the idea of some very confused future archaeologists discovering those coins 😂
Great job on the floor, it looks fab!😊
Thanks! 😁
Pill bugs, wood lice, or as we more adorably call them in the Midwestern US, roly polies (pronounced ROLL-ee POLL-ee)
In Dutch we call them pissebedden - roughly bedwetters. I have no idea why.
@@zuur303possibly because if you felt one crawling on you in your bed . . .
It came out pretty good.
Best ad read!
Ingenious use of slab slide, do you intend to leave the shed with an earth floor now ?
I can imagine that siren would bring back some bad memories for some people, we have one locally that is used as a flood warning and it's quite foreboding when it sounds !
I'm going to refloor the shed with a basic floor, probably reclaimed concrete slabs or something, but maybe just some hardcore. and also do some other repairs to it as it's seen better days. yes the siren is quite a haunting sound, even for someone with no memories of it!
We use them where I live whenever there's a fire 😅
love it, keep it up man!
Poor old Doris is running for the shelter in the garden now
Tear out that root in the shed. Level the floor, put a 2x4 at the opening, add a mesh screen, poor concrete, and bobs your uncle! Great job on floor.
Good job! 😁👍
Thanks!
Thank you very much :)
Taking a break from politics and social strife for some nice calming do it yourselfer vids. Deatressing on a sunday. Mothers dat in the US. Not sure if its international or not. Anyway happy mothers day if it applies
Belated happy mothers day!
I give you an “A” mark for your patio floor.
That air raid siren is worth about $400+
09:57 I'm thinking if you had flipped over the piece at the bottom in the middle there, then it might make for more but smaller leftover spaces instead of that one large space to be filled with mud. Is there a particular reason why you put it in that orientation? Do you prefer one large unfilled space over smaller ones, is the bottom side of the sheet more uneven, or did it just not fit in any other rotation?
My original plan was to use some smaller pieces of stone to fit the gaps, so I wasn't concerned about the spaces, but I decided it would look more like the rest of the floor with a mud gap instead
Greetings from Croatia😂
Greetings!
The wife is right... Pill Bugs or Roly Polies.
Nice,😎😎😎👍👍👍
I thought the Mrs. was American! How did you meet?
You can still use Kuna
Oh really, dammit, I thought there was an expired time period when you had to exchange them
Did she say "well its a different country", or "welsh is a different country" ? :P
Or possibly Wales is a different country 😊
she said 'Wales is a different country'
Bye bye! it has been months since I've watched one of your vidz, you were searching for a lost case of stairs. What are the plans now, are you restoring the ruin?
I am restoring bits of it yes, into a garden feature. I made a video about my plans. but I'm still digging for more as I found another wall.
@@afontirs I love that, I think you should apply to work one season for Project Kamp, they are actively looking for a stone ruin worker/restorer.
We call the damp bugs. Obviously no correct name as it depends on where you are from. Bugs 🪳🐛 🐞
Well done! Looks great!!
