  • Terrorism is not merely attacks from outside; it also includes the responses to those attacks in a sort of terrorist exchange.
Professor Michael Fellman discussed themes from his book, Twisting the Cross: Terrorism and the Formation of Modern America, in this lecture, which he delivered at SFU Vancouver in November 2008. He illustrated his lecture with specific examples from late 19th-century American history.
Dr. Fellman is professor emeritus of American history at Simon Fraser University and the author of seven books, primarily on the American Civil War.
