I normally use Ray Guard boots when wading....good all around protection. I normally use a boat or my kayaks to get to my wade fishing areas but there are a lot of areas that are accessible by car. A good area is the state park and San Louis pass area, but watch out for the strong currents and deep drop offs here. Not sure about fly fishing this time of year...the wind is always blowing.
It's a FTU rod called a Spec & Reds Titanium.....very nice rod for the price. This was the first time I had the GoPro out to play with. There will be a lot more vids to come.
Hey, i'm headed down to galveston at the end of may to do some wade fishing, what kind of footwear are you using? and any tips on basic locations to do some wading? Thanks in advance!!!
