    I don’t think yall get how hard libero is because your expected to cover the whole court and have to be the fastest. Also liberos have to be able to set but most setters can’t play defense so that says smt. But whenever i setter dosnt want to get a ball the libero had to take it. We have to cover half of the back row on defense and cover most of serve receive. So idk why ppl r saying libero isn’t the hardest

      Yes but as a setter you have to know what’s best for the team who’s the best hitter and will score points in desperation different types of sets and what the hitter like and what is gonna work is break the others defense and how to attack and different ways to dump

    • @averyhurst2029
      @averyhurst2029 11 days ago +1

      @@rangerandbearyea as a libero you have. to know where the setter is going to set. Have to read the hitter. Change your teams defense if needed. Tell the hitters where to hit. Tell the setters where the blockers are so they don’t set the wrong hitter. We have to cover those dumps and wherever yall set. Half of the time we have to tell the setters where who not to set and who to set. Liberos don’t get anywhere near enough credit even though we have some of the most responsibilities.

    Being a middle blocker is SO difficult. Other positions are hard but a MB has so many jobs they need to be able to do. A few are blocking the ball, getting off the net, having to cover, pass shorts if they really need to and sometimes set, and ofc hitting. So I honestly think middle earned it’s spot for first place

      I totally agree with this ٫ Ofc setter is the hardest then middle bc u need to have white a lot of stamina٫block which as middle you need to be everywhere and also hitting. While Libero is hard you need to dig and pass the ball.

      5. Opposite
      I think even though middle requieres hella stamina they don’t have to play back row which is harder then front row imo but all positions are important I just put positions that have to be more well rounded and versatile in the top spots

    Middle is actually hard because you’re blocking each ball that come over the net, and your team is counting on you to completely block the ball or at least slow it down for the back row to get it easier. Also, every setter I know plays setter because they’re not good at any other position 😂😂

  • @pcon77

    Setter is the hardest position. Middles literally become middles only because they are tall and can't be trusted to hit the ball straight.

    • @tank2217
      @tank2217 14 days ago +11

      setter is hard mentally and in technique. Middle is hard physically and in technique, just not so much. As a middle you have to be jumping every second at top jump capacity, and if you don't, you're already putting your team at a disadvantage. The same can be said for setters. Their technique must be on point every set, otherwise the spikes will turn out very wrong. They are both equally difficult, just on different terms

    • @tank2217
      @tank2217 14 days ago +2

      @That.One.Volleyball.Girlll it IS hard to be a setter. Getting a perfect set to your spiker every time is no easy feat, yeah it sounds a lot simpler, but mentally it's very challenging, and if your setting technique isn't on point, you're going to be hindering your entire teams attack potential

    • @volleyballer_7

      Setter is a hard position, but as a setter and outside, a middle is DIFFICULT. Because it’s so confusing and it might just be because I used to be a setter, but when I first tried playing middle, I would not stop going for the setter’s ball. Both are equally tough, just in different areas.

    As an outside hitter this is my rank
    1. Libero they gotta dive so much it’s pretty hard
    2. Setter they are running everywhere and if it’s not a perfect set the hitter sometimes get mad and they run everywhere
    3. Middle my bsf is a middle they take most of the blocks and most of the time are having broken fingers from being hit so hard
    4. Right side THE SETS ARE SOMETIMES impossible bcz they are setting backwards sometimes depends
    5. Outside it’s a hard position but not imo bcz i am one and I love it

    It's really hard to rank all the positions when each one has different requirements and demands. I've been playing for a while and here's my opinionated list:
    1. Setter, overall controls plays with front row and ideally calls shots. Little mistakes matter for them which adds pressure.
    2. Libero, overall controls backrow and also ideally calls shots. Expected and looked to for exceptional passes/saves/out-of-systems/etc. Possible mental pressure of being visibly relied on as well (different color jersey).
    3. Middle, often in the way of the others/hard spot to get out of quickly, and a largely stamina based position.
    4. Outsides, They get the majority of sets especially in hard situations/emergencies Outside is often the go-to hitter so stamina also plays a role. Opponents also know that Outsides are most often set so it's hard to shake off blockers at times.
    5. Opposites, usually less sets/hits and more front-row defense. Also stamina based but not as much as Outside or Middle. It's also more difficult for most Setters to back set accurately so that's another reason they don't get set more equally with Outside.
    This is my list! Try not to take offense, this is just my personal opinion from experience, and what other positions have told me. All positions are hard in their own right, and very differently demanding both mentally and physically.

    My opinion I Libero is one because I have tried and mastered all but this was the hardest to master. You fill in for other players if they weren’t put in a suitable position. You heave your body onto the ground to save the ball. You have the most playtime by far. Just my opinion but I loved how much more challenging this spot seemed so I’m the Libero on my team now!
