- In THE BOOK OF DELIGHTS, Ross Gay, one of today’s most original and exciting literary voices, offers up a spirited collection of short lyric essays, written daily over a tumultuous year, reminding us of the purpose and pleasure of praising, extolling, and celebrating ordinary wonders. Here, he reads two of the them, "Marfa Lights" and "Tomato On Board," while at The Book Corner in Bloomington, Indiana.

I don’t know why the little tomato story made me laugh and cry but I loved it so much
It's because it's brilliant and it's human.
Those stories were so much more in-depth then I ever could have expected. That made my day.
Listened to him read this at an online event this week and had to come here to listen to him read it again. It just makes me SMILE and appreciate humankind (and tomatoes!). I'm slowly working my way through his book, digesting slowly, and it is a gift.
I believe that God works in mysterious ways and there's a time-in & season in our lives when God allows us to bloom like that flower you were talking about, if you touch that button in the car it will turn into a flower, well my brother you are that button 😁 and we need that flower to bloom in this time that we're in, where the world is full of Gloom thank you my brother.#GodHasTouchedThatButton
I love this so much.
Listen to your interview with Krista Tippett, for the first time on my way to work and I was impressed with the gift and calling on your life which appears to be your purpose for life or for being on this Earth, so amazing to see a black man love the way it appears to me that you do God bless you my brother I wish you the best in your endeavors and I will be subscribing to your Channel 🤓
Vivid storytelling. Enjoyed it!
Such a beautiful heartwarming story by a beautiful man!
Just got the book. I love it.
It’s so hard to like a book when you are forced to read it. That being said I don’t like it 😂
What don't you like about it?
