  • A few years ago, Nestlé decided to undertake major renovation work in Building B of its headquarters. Having remained intact since its construction in 1977, this building no longer met the latest energy standards. As a result, the entire façade had to be replaced, and this renovation was a major challenge: the aesthetic aspect of the building could not be changed since it served as a mirror to Building A, designed by Jean Tschumi and bearing the status of "Cultural Property of National Importance". It was therefore unthinkable to install any blinds or shades.
The solution? Nestlé chose to install SageGlass intelligent glass. Thanks to the electrochromic technology of this solution, the glass tints throughout the day regulate the amount of heat and light entering the building. The group opted for a Bright Silver coating to maintain the reflective appearance of the original building.
Thanks to the installation of SageGlass, Nestlé employees can now enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains no matter the weather conditions.
