Geek Remix Yeah, I think he's probably going to have some clue about some of the missing children, and probably mention it to Max off handedly, if you make an effort to actually speak to him regularly. As the grounds keeper, he's more familiar with the school than anyone else. And will likely have been in the background when various things happened, and nobody paid him any attention. Could these be the syringes that someone is sticking into the necks of the victims, like Kate said, was all she could remember after being taken to what she thought was the hospital. That would tie Frank, I think that is his name, the guy who is after Choles money to be paid back. The syringes would make sense, too bad we can't find out what they were loaded with.

i think that rachel amber and max both had a doe as their spirit animal and thats why there was a deer there in the junk yard trying to show max where she was buried. i guess that is why her rewind power would not work on it
Aren't Deer considered to be guides? Maybe a spirt animal of someone trying to help? There's definitely a theory to be made behind all the deer and why that one was unaffected by the rewind
I also noticed when you take the photo of the deer and look back onto it, you see nothing. I think the dear is not a real dear, but an embodiment of max's spirit. The deer also guides max (ex. Ch. 5 when the deer guides you to the bathroom.)

i love this channel its a bit tricky to find frequent female let's players who play games i'm interested in but this hits the nail on the head.i tried watching others play this game but it drove me nuts with all the stuff they were missing i mean most people finished each episode in under 2 hours but it took me around 4 for each because i wanted to look at everything. i'm so glad that you pay so much attention to detail because in all honesty that's what made the game so interesting to me and it makes me sad to see everyone else miss all that, they're really missing out on some stellar little things.
i know i'm a bit late, but the symbol in the junk yard (about 13:30, below the "i would rather have a life of 'oh wells' than a life of 'what ifs') looks like the symbol for gungnir, odin's spear that never misses (and i think a norse symbol for lightning).
During episode 2 in the diner, you can spot the ketchup label as "Bane Ketchup." This is probably a reference to the Borderlands 2 SMG called the "Bane", which was voiced by Ashly Burch, who also voiced Chloe. As an extra bit of confirmation, Chloe ends up sitting at the same half of the table as the ketchup bottle.
Interesting. I assumed at first Victoria is crying in the end of Ep2 because of how she treated Kate, but never noticed she's sitting there filming it when time stops. Must be crying about something else.
I think she does feel bad about Kate. Queen Bee's have like social standards so it could be a thing of not showing weakness and looking impressive in front of friends. Yet again, I am very pro 'Victoria for change and becoming a better person' so I could be biased.
Warren is creepy like a stalker. He spy's on max early in the morning, he males plans for them without telling max, and he photo shopped a pic tire of them together and put in his gym locker.....something is off about him. He may not be a bad guy but he sure is kinda creepy.
Jada Strickland Did you notice the math/nerd graffiti on the back of the building near the lighthouse? Max calls the "glyphs" and says it reminds her of the wind somehow. Later in the diner, Max sees similar graffiti in the diner on the table and says Warren has been there. This, to me, implies that Warren has been to the lighthouse.
Lots of references to other stories. "I aim to misbehave" is from "Firefly." "Love you long time" is from "Full Metal Jacket" and there are a lot of references to the 90s TV show "Twin Peaks" like "Fire walk with me" being written in several places. That show was set in the same part of the country.

I have a quick question/theory so max can pick up objects from her present and take it with her to the past and the objects stay with her and don't duplicate fan she do the same thing with people?
I feel as if William's spirit animal is the deer and the blue butterfly is Rachel's spirit animal. In episode 3, the snow globe of the doe is in tact. No one broke it and William is still alive. When William does die, the deer snow globe is broken and the spirit is 'released' or no longer there with the family. They also have a deer head in the garage when David is around, and a picture of David over a dead deer. I also believe that Max shares the same spirit animal as William. Her's however is a doe. The fact that Samuel, who seemingly knows a lot about spirit animals, thinks its weird that she saw her own supports my thoughts. William is the one guiding her as the deer not her own spirit animal. Or perhaps she saw the doe because her 'destiny' is to die to save all the others, because it seems that she can't save one person/thing without another one dying.
Mari, that symbol you were wondering about...I researched it and I know what it is! RyderDarkHeart was onto something. The variation from Odin's Spear, or Gungir, and this symbol is a result of what's called a Bind Rune. These runes are made when two Norse runes are combined to create a stronger rune. The two runes combined are the Gungir rune, and the protection rune. The inversed arrows surrounding the Gungir rune are the protective runes. Basically, the rune symbolizes protecting a person or target from the weapon that never misses its target. Man, he more I learn about the depth of the symbolism and cultural references in this game, the more my head explodes!

It has the same pattern as the on from ep3 Max gets to wear. Max says sth like ''this is the scariest thing here'' about it. Why? why is a jacket scarier than syringes? Maybe I just don't get her and she really finds this so scary.
GO TO 11:39 LOOK IN THE 4TH PARAGRAPH notice how Rachel says " I know you'd give me that stink eye and *grill me* " when Max is in the principal's office along with Nathan, Mr. Jefferson, and the security guard(forgot his name), Mark(Mr. Jefferson) says " Let's give them some time before we continue to *grill them* " or something along those lines, but he still said "grill" In one of Mari's theory videos(and this one), she says how she thinks Rachel was talking about Mark in this letter and that they probably had a sexual relationship. I'm pretty sure they did because maybe Mark had said "grill" a few times in that relationship and started to catch onto the word and then started using that word more often. Maybe she got it from him. I don't know. Just a thought.

I was trying to find meaning behind that native american symbol at 12:34 since I know for a fact I've seen it before. My research failed but I did find another symbol that looked like the eye of providence. When you think about this, the game actually has a lot of references to native american culture. Just something I noticed and thought you might want to look into...

Geek Remix Once you finish your conversation with Mr Jefferson and he takes his phone call, you can stick around, listening to it from his side. To me, it indicates that something has gone terribly wrong someplace else, like he is about to be exposed., and that would explain his sudden departure during the end cinematic.
For the symbol around 13:25 my prediction (I did a lot of research on this episode and I'm still pretty confused) is that it is the fertility symbol and since it is placed near that quote of having a life of oh wells instead of what ifs, so my prediction is possibly (but most likely incorrect) is that something happened between Rachel and frank (or possibly even mr Jefferson) and yes a sexual relationship that's why max gets that weird feeling about frank and Chloe having a sexual relationship
I find it interesting that Max often wears shirts with does on them, and that at 7:14 there was a drawing of a doe next to Rachel's missing poster, and that the actual doe in the junkyard seems to be in a ghostly form and eventually even lead Chloe and Max to Rachel's body. I read a comment on a jacksepticeye playthrough that suggested the doe was Rachel's ghost, and I really like this theory. It makes a lot of sense, one of those "How could I not have thought of that? It was right in front of my face the whole time" type things. This game is one of the best ever. I love it!
omg what if its like 'run lola run'???? and everything just keeps repeating and if something goes wrong it starts again? and every time max can never stop the twister so it restarts? and that license plate that said groundhog day!
Like somebody else said, I think the main theme/message of the game is about accepting death. (Max must accept her own death/Chloe's/Chloe must accept her father's etc.) Also, I don't know if you pointed this out because the sound cut out, but as we know it is likely that Kate's spirit animal is a bunny. I may be getting the scenes mixed up, but at the beginning of Episode 3 (after Kate's death), Max is in her room at night and you see a black-and-white bunny watching her through the window. This reflects on Kate's death and the theory of observing/guidance, and also the colour scheme of the bunny also symbolises death as you mentioned in another video. Kate's death has been achieved by the universe, especially as there is no shade of blue on the black-and-white bunny. This bunny scene may link to other things as well.
I actually noticed an interesting detail in the first episode involving those weird gold glitch butterflies. When you first enter Chloe's home, and you're on a mission to find the right screws for your camera, you're able to explore around Chloe's home. One places that you can visit is the backyard, and there is literally nothing there besides something from Max and Chloe's childhood (a board with their art) and a little stone grave for Bongo, Chloe's cat. Maybe I'm looking too deeply in on this but it just seemed weird because it's on the exact same side of the house where Max draws the butterfly symbol when she goes back to her childhood through the photograph.

I've heard that Max's spirit animal is the doe and that Rachel's spirit animal was actually a bird with the blue feathers that appeared at a window (idk if it was r max's window sorry i forgot), people say this coz of Rachel's earing in the game. and that obviously chloe's spirit animal was the blue butterfly that appeared in the bathroom scene in ep1.
Something also to note is what seems to be 'scratch marks' on Nathan's face during the final decision in the office. You can see it on his cheek in certain scenes when he's in the light. Could it also be that Frank has Rachel's bracelet because Rachel was in a sort of 'relationship' with him and give it to him as a present? The fact that we're introduced to Frank having Rachel's bracelet seems like a red herring for the murder culprit spotlight, just like Nathan and David. I also have a theory about the syringes in the scrapyard, but I won't say for spoilers sake.
Awww, you missed one of my favorite little Easter Eggs. If you go onto the boat, then rewind to before you put the plank down, Max jumps off the boat instead.
Could it be possible that everyone in Life is Strange is dead and that Max is simply relieving her past to find a way to prevent the tornado from happening? However, because everyone is dead, it is probably impossible for Max to prevent the event from happening regardless of what choices she picks. That said, maybe the whole point of the game is about Max accepting death since she cannot accept it, therefore having the rewind power as if having such powers represents her unwillingness to move onto the afterlife. The light house, which gets destroyed, might represent not being lost as ships use it to find land when being at sea for so long. It being destroyed by the torando could represents Max being lost in the afterlife. As for Rachel Amber, maybe she is another character who couldn't accept death at one point, but has, therefore is missing. Perhaps like "Lost" and "Life on Mars"/"Ashes to Ashes", the main character is in Purgatory and do not know it. Another theory I could think of is maybe Rachel Amber is a psyche of Max. Perhaps someone that Max's wishes to be as she is confident like Chloe, yet is friendly and artistic like Max.
Oh and it was Mr Jefferson she was writing to. The drawing on the wall is from rachel but Chloe Frank and Rachel All hung out around the same time with Chloe being the first (in school), moving to Frank during the rebellious stage, then finding mr Jefferson later on. It's no scandal between Chloe and Rachel that the dog picture is there since they did run together a short period. hence the lock picking chloe knows and why when you call him a creep chloe actually defends him saying he's everything but.

(ep 4 spoiler) since she is dead, she can come in any form she likes I think. And Since Max' totem animal is the doe, she presents herself as a doe. If people would just read about totem animals and compare them to the characters. I would be so happy.

I also noticed in my play through that in the diner there is a flyer for the thing where you and warren would "go ape". On the flyer there is a post it note that says someone is looking to go to it with a "ladyfriend" and to contact them if you are interested. I believe that the note was left by warren because if you stay next to warren after agreeing to go with him, he mentions that he will now have to tell Brooke that he is going with you instead. There have been many scenes showing that Brooke likes Warren and that she's kind of upset that Warren likes Max more than her at least in my play through.
I didn't notice those look exchanges but i guess it makes sense. It kinda seems like Principle wells in trying to keep Nathan out of the spotlight possibly to save himself? I also noticed at the end of episode 1 where it's showing principal wells in his office he has some red binders to the side. Now on episode 3's preview photo Max and Chloe are breaking into his office, the likeliness of him being involved is practically assured now.
I'm not sure if you noticed. but with the deer in the junkyard, you can take a photo of it. but if you go into your journal to look at the photo, the deer isn't there, just the trees behind it. this was so cool to me, please check it out if you haven't already!!

Totally late to the party, as I just finished both games now. One thought I had is these written messages on walls, always seem to be some sort of greater meaning to the situation, in a spot where you have to travel through. Perhaps Max was leaving clues for herself to help make better choices when returning at another time, providing we believe max has been there for what feels "1000 years" as she says several times. She told Chloe near the end of the game, "you'll have to tell me what I just told you, because i wont remember" when she jumps back in time to a photo. Perhaps she really was leaving messages for herself.
... about Warren... i feel like he's not the "nice guy" people are portraying him to be or the "awkward teenager" that people are putting him to be as. He had mentioned about a phone call when you talk to him right before leaving the dorms. I found that suspicious, along with the fact that Brooke mentions things about "surveillance" and Warren in the Science Lab....

I've been wondering if maybe chloe has time powers too. who knows. Mr. Jefferson misses Rachel, he admits that...and takes that phone call, with someone who is obviously important...I dont know how or if all of this actually fits together or if im just stretching...but its very curious.

Well in order for the time power not to work on the deer it has to either exist outside of time (unlikely) or be a part of Max.

i love this channel its a bit tricky to find frequent female let's players who play games i'm interested in but this hits the nail on the head.i tried watching others play this game but it drove me nuts with all the stuff they were missing i mean most people finished each episode in under 2 hours but it took me around 4 for each because i wanted to look at everything.
i'm so glad that you pay so much attention to detail because in all honesty that's what made the game so interesting to me and it makes me sad to see everyone else miss all that, they're really missing out on some stellar little things.

I feel as if William's spirit animal is the deer and the blue butterfly is Rachel's spirit animal. In episode 3, the snow globe of the doe is in tact. No one broke it and William is still alive. When William does die, the deer snow globe is broken and the spirit is 'released' or no longer there with the family. They also have a deer head in the garage when David is around, and a picture of David over a dead deer. I also believe that Max shares the same spirit animal as William. Her's however is a doe.
The fact that Samuel, who seemingly knows a lot about spirit animals, thinks its weird that she saw her own supports my thoughts. William is the one guiding her as the deer not her own spirit animal.
Or perhaps she saw the doe because her 'destiny' is to die to save all the others, because it seems that she can't save one person/thing without another one dying.

Mari, that symbol you were wondering about...I researched it and I know what it is! RyderDarkHeart was onto something. The variation from Odin's Spear, or Gungir, and this symbol is a result of what's called a Bind Rune. These runes are made when two Norse runes are combined to create a stronger rune. The two runes combined are the Gungir rune, and the protection rune. The inversed arrows surrounding the Gungir rune are the protective runes. Basically, the rune symbolizes protecting a person or target from the weapon that never misses its target. Man, he more I learn about the depth of the symbolism and cultural references in this game, the more my head explodes!

In one of Mari's theory videos(and this one), she says how she thinks Rachel was talking about Mark in this letter and that they probably had a sexual relationship. I'm pretty sure they did because maybe Mark had said "grill" a few times in that relationship and started to catch onto the word and then started using that word more often. Maybe she got it from him.

I was trying to find meaning behind that native american symbol at 12:34 since I know for a fact I've seen it before. My research failed but I did find another symbol that looked like the eye of providence. When you think about this, the game actually has a lot of references to native american culture. Just something I noticed and thought you might want to look into...

For the symbol around 13:25 my prediction (I did a lot of research on this episode and I'm still pretty confused) is that it is the fertility symbol and since it is placed near that quote of having a life of oh wells instead of what ifs, so my prediction is possibly (but most likely incorrect) is that something happened between Rachel and frank (or possibly even mr Jefferson) and yes a sexual relationship that's why max gets that weird feeling about frank and Chloe having a sexual relationship

I find it interesting that Max often wears shirts with does on them, and that at 7:14 there was a drawing of a doe next to Rachel's missing poster, and that the actual doe in the junkyard seems to be in a ghostly form and eventually even lead Chloe and Max to Rachel's body. I read a comment on a jacksepticeye playthrough that suggested the doe was Rachel's ghost, and I really like this theory. It makes a lot of sense, one of those "How could I not have thought of that? It was right in front of my face the whole time" type things. This game is one of the best ever. I love it!
at 3:58 the black and white picture in the basket is also in Chloe's room (i think)

Like somebody else said, I think the main theme/message of the game is about accepting death. (Max must accept her own death/Chloe's/Chloe must accept her father's etc.)
Also, I don't know if you pointed this out because the sound cut out, but as we know it is likely that Kate's spirit animal is a bunny. I may be getting the scenes mixed up, but at the beginning of Episode 3 (after Kate's death), Max is in her room at night and you see a black-and-white bunny watching her through the window. This reflects on Kate's death and the theory of observing/guidance, and also the colour scheme of the bunny also symbolises death as you mentioned in another video. Kate's death has been achieved by the universe, especially as there is no shade of blue on the black-and-white bunny. This bunny scene may link to other things as well.
I actually noticed an interesting detail in the first episode involving those weird gold glitch butterflies. When you first enter Chloe's home, and you're on a mission to find the right screws for your camera, you're able to explore around Chloe's home. One places that you can visit is the backyard, and there is literally nothing there besides something from Max and Chloe's childhood (a board with their art) and a little stone grave for Bongo, Chloe's cat. Maybe I'm looking too deeply in on this but it just seemed weird because it's on the exact same side of the house where Max draws the butterfly symbol when she goes back to her childhood through the photograph.

I've heard that Max's spirit animal is the doe and that Rachel's spirit animal was actually a bird with the blue feathers that appeared at a window (idk if it was r max's window sorry i forgot), people say this coz of Rachel's earing in the game. and that obviously chloe's spirit animal was the blue butterfly that appeared in the bathroom scene in ep1.

Something also to note is what seems to be 'scratch marks' on Nathan's face during the final decision in the office. You can see it on his cheek in certain scenes when he's in the light.
Could it also be that Frank has Rachel's bracelet because Rachel was in a sort of 'relationship' with him and give it to him as a present? The fact that we're introduced to Frank having Rachel's bracelet seems like a red herring for the murder culprit spotlight, just like Nathan and David.
I also have a theory about the syringes in the scrapyard, but I won't say for spoilers sake.

Could it be possible that everyone in Life is Strange is dead and that Max is simply relieving her past to find a way to prevent the tornado from happening? However, because everyone is dead, it is probably impossible for Max to prevent the event from happening regardless of what choices she picks. That said, maybe the whole point of the game is about Max accepting death since she cannot accept it, therefore having the rewind power as if having such powers represents her unwillingness to move onto the afterlife. The light house, which gets destroyed, might represent not being lost as ships use it to find land when being at sea for so long. It being destroyed by the torando could represents Max being lost in the afterlife.
As for Rachel Amber, maybe she is another character who couldn't accept death at one point, but has, therefore is missing. Perhaps like "Lost" and "Life on Mars"/"Ashes to Ashes", the main character is in Purgatory and do not know it. Another theory I could think of is maybe Rachel Amber is a psyche of Max. Perhaps someone that Max's wishes to be as she is confident like Chloe, yet is friendly and artistic like Max.
Oh and it was Mr Jefferson she was writing to. The drawing on the wall is from rachel but Chloe Frank and Rachel All hung out around the same time with Chloe being the first (in school), moving to Frank during the rebellious stage, then finding mr Jefferson later on. It's no scandal between Chloe and Rachel that the dog picture is there since they did run together a short period. hence the lock picking chloe knows and why when you call him a creep chloe actually defends him saying he's everything but.

I also noticed in my play through that in the diner there is a flyer for the thing where you and warren would "go ape". On the flyer there is a post it note that says someone is looking to go to it with a "ladyfriend" and to contact them if you are interested. I believe that the note was left by warren because if you stay next to warren after agreeing to go with him, he mentions that he will now have to tell Brooke that he is going with you instead. There have been many scenes showing that Brooke likes Warren and that she's kind of upset that Warren likes Max more than her at least in my play through.
I didn't notice those look exchanges but i guess it makes sense. It kinda seems like Principle wells in trying to keep Nathan out of the spotlight possibly to save himself? I also noticed at the end of episode 1 where it's showing principal wells in his office he has some red binders to the side. Now on episode 3's preview photo Max and Chloe are breaking into his office, the likeliness of him being involved is practically assured now.

Totally late to the party, as I just finished both games now. One thought I had is these written messages on walls, always seem to be some sort of greater meaning to the situation, in a spot where you have to travel through. Perhaps Max was leaving clues for herself to help make better choices when returning at another time, providing we believe max has been there for what feels "1000 years" as she says several times.
She told Chloe near the end of the game, "you'll have to tell me what I just told you, because i wont remember" when she jumps back in time to a photo. Perhaps she really was leaving messages for herself.
