They've struggled with NIU. So much talent on the roster compared to the rest of the MAC, and not many conference titles to show for it in the last 10-15 years.

They’ve won the MAC 12 times and as a fun fact, Nick Saban was the head coach of the 1990 team that won it that year. The Rockets have won a couple of them in 2017 and 2022 but last year they were briefly ranked. I’m not sure if you knew this either but in 1970 they had an undefeated season of 12-0 and finished 12th in the AP Poll. The MAC does produce some good ranked teams from time to time, maybe not as much as the American or even the Mountain West but they’ll still have some solid output. Nearly every year it seems that a MAC team beats a Big Ten school or comes close to it.
Buffalo, Marshall, and Toledo for your rebuilds are some good variety. When it comes to Group Of Five teams if your team finishes with one loss early on I don’t think you should automatically put them out of the playoff if the game gives you a high enough rank. I think it’s worth looking sometimes into those other teams’ schedules as well. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have a Group Of 5 team in the CFP with 1 loss over a 3 loss Power 5 team. I’m just putting in my thoughts because I think it’s good to be in between realistic and letting the game do its work for you. When it comes to readjusting with seeding, if you see another Group Of 5 team in you could compare schedules instead of automatically putting yourself as a lowest seed as well. Of course the same concept applies for if your team is undefeated versus a 2 loss Power 5 team or the 1 versus 3 losses as well.
Please rebuild Simon Fraser in ea college football 25, they were the first Canadian college football team to join the NCAA and they had a decent record before they folded in 2022. It would be super fun to rebuild a Canadian team in the game.
