This game needs a remaster on current gen consoles. Doesn’t seem likely but one can hope.
Uhm... you know, the dragon DOES have a physical attack on the ground. And even a body slam to land quickly and attack at the same time.
And the game has four endings....

I personally gave the game a 6/10 in my own review. The graphics and framerate issues are unacceptable in my book. If your game looks like a ps2 title the least you can do is make sure it runs smooth as butter.
This game is awesome I don't understand the ratings at all...
Did they ever make a patch to fix the frame rate issues?
I only had the pleasure to play 1 an 2. And I love both of those sequels I never got the chance to play this one so I can't say how the game is if I never played it myself but I would love to see a remake of the franchise it will look amazing on the previous consoles and PC.

I give D3 9/10. Ya know what? I'm a casual gamer. The frame rate was my only issue with this game. I liked everything else though.
um... there are actually 4 endings. But getting the 4th route requires you to have all the weapons and fully upgrade them

I can agree with this review. But, I do give it a 9/10 mainly for the fact that frame rate never bothers me, and I don't really care how the game looks, as long as its fun.
The only thing I dislike about this game is the final boss (which I have yet to beat as of now.)

The game is not only about gameplay for a score. But the most important part is the gameplay yes.

am here bcuz i am considering picking up this game.... but.. that frame rate drop really turns me off... i dont mind minor drops... but "àlmost freezing" kinda drop really is pushig me away... ppl who own this game, any opinion on that?

If the developer is not good at using the ps3 spu's which is why naughty dogs games look so good, the spu 's sharing the work load. Because the ps3 has a weak gpu, this is one places the 360 has an advantage over the ps3. The cell in the ps3 is more powerful than the 360's cpu just harder to max it to its fun potential. But damn have you seen shadow of mordor running on the ps3 holy shit averages around 15-20 and gets down to 10 and maybe less.
This is a very low budget japanese game, cut them some slack.
I wish they kept the cutscene beauty from the begging on chapter Zero. Idk why they choose to discard that,but yeah I agree with your opinions. A lot of people these day's say this game isn't a prequel which is really Wierd by how the story play's with the other 2 DrakenGard.
Even tho I haven't played the first two,I still think this one is the best out of the 2 cause like the video explain's best combat,graphics,and music.

The graphics are disappointing. They must've made this game like 8 years ago originally to follow dg2 but then they put it on hold? then they didnt refine it for even ps3 standards. i wont pay 60 bucks for this but as a fan since the beginning i will buy it at 20+ dollars

I am curious where the plot is? I finished path A and it didn't feel like story. I am so disappointed in Square Enix. I have been waiting for months for this game and it was such a disappointment.

A,B,C, where's D? you haven't complete it?i dont mention dlc its not the subject here.But you dont talk about the dept story, im very sad. the a big majority of drakengard fan like the serie becose of the story and the idongiveaf__k about safezone of casual players. If you whant to complete the game at 100% the ending is stunning. 7/10.. originality of storyline and deapth to me deserve to be mentionned i give the game 8/10, you just skip a big part of the game... its not a bad rewiew just a sad rewiew becose you dont go all story.

Did it? Sorry, I actually didn't know that. I know most of it was in Zero's novella, but I think the trailer was somewhat subtle about it. I hope I didn't come off as rude :)

I think they should put it on ps4 this show it to powerful for ps3.
It may look like ps2 but they did that because they know ps3 cpu couldn't handle it.
***** There's a lot of particle effects and blood, and I was given the impression that the team wasn't given an adequate amount of time/money for the game, so it's not optimized too well, so there's ton's of framerate issues.
Also, the graphics are more like a very early ps3 game than a ps2 game.
ps3 is far more capable of what you think, my friend

TheDog7118 No, this game is a technical mess. The fact that it runs horrid, and needs about 5 gigs to install. And what I find funny is in the review when talking about the Japanese VO's that to download this beast, it takes 11 gigs!!! If you download the game digitally w/ Japanese VO, the whole thing is 27 gigs, and yet it still runs like this. The Last of Us took about 22 gigs and runs flawlessly. I'm not sure if this game is using the Unreal Engine, but it seems some Japanese companies can not get the hang of that thing. Drakengard 3 is another great game bogged down by just horrid technical skills, just like The Last Remnant.
