I GOT THE SUPER NES CLASSIC LESS THAN AN HOUR AGO! :D I was in the line outside my Best Buy; when a nice lady driving by mentioned that the nearby Target had like 30 more. It was at this moment that I channeled The Flash, Quicksilver, The Roadrunner, Sonic, AND the Half-Minute Hero to make a mad dash for my Target. When I finally got to where the Super NES classics were, they only had 5 left. When I finally held it in my hands; I was basically on Cloud 9. (And now, I save up for the Nintendo Switch.)
So I went to Walmart for the Midnight release. Couple took two and I lost out on mine. 35 available and I was 36. Went home upset. Decided I didn't want to get up early and try to find one so I slept in. Woke up and Amazon Treasure truck was selling them, paid for it on the app and picked it up. It was painless and I got a goodnight sleep. Good luck to all!

On game selection screen what is icon that looks like a cartridge with a pencil in front of it mean? I know the controllers mean 1 or 2 players. But what does the cartridge icon stand for?
It means that the game has its own version of saving. Like Super Mario World. You can save at checkpoint levels, but after restarting the game your lives will be reset to 5. They give you the new save in the Mini, but also keep the original saving.
Can you play each game until completion or is it that all the games are like demos and aren't fully playable and can you put in a snes or nes cartridge in the top and play that game like with the original nes or snes i really need to know cause i want to buy this.
I find it hilarious that someone took the time to implement a demo mode into this thing, as though Nintendo will make enough stock that it will ever end up being demoed on the floor of a store.
THAD YT If you can't afford a Wii U/don't want one, then I understand buying the SNES Classic, but if you have a Wii U then I don't see any point in spending $70 for slightly better emulation. And taking up another HDMI port. And outlet. But yeah, if you don't have a Wii U, then it does make sense. But I just think most people who are this excited about the SNES Classic are big enough Nintendo fans to have a Wii U. But of course some don't, so if I was in their situation I'd buy an SNES Classic.
No, I'd agree, I have a USB/Wii Controller adapter. If only because they are a lot of really good Arcade Stick for the wii that are dirt cheap, just because they're for the Wii, which as like, two games that they're usefull in. So I was interested in buying a SNES mini controller, just to use on my computer. Although I heard that these new controller aren't 1:1 with the originals, mostly when it comes to the textures of the pad itself, so I think I'll just end up looking for what are the best SNES controller USB replica.
it is original and you get the classic controller feeling. It kind of takes the best part away to play these on an emu on PC. I had plenty of roms for SNES, N64 and GBA installed, but didnt play them much. It was not as exciting to play them that way.
just got japanese super famicom mini and this demo on it is great relax... and I must say that japanese version has far less aggressive games, its nicer even musically :-)
Sucks there a little bit of Games in the snes classic compared to the NES they should it addded doom, TMNT, chrono trigger, castlevania Dracula X and the kong country sequels
