You should use this defense against the diamond offense. When doing that drop the 3 safeties back into cover 3. Then choose whether to use the 4-2 or 3-3 alignment.

I played a 4-2-6 this year and i will definitely be implementing some 3-3 and 3-4 looks next year.

Coach what are your thoughts on basically doing this in reverse if you are a base 3-3 to and want to move to a 4-2-5(especially vs TE teams)..... it’s very doable with dedicated positions that flip with strength (we try to stay static and not flip) teaching one stack backer to be a walk up end and shift the DL away from him is sound , but!!! I feel like teaching both stack LBs to walk up as a DE could be a lot to get done ? If you have time maybe a video on this subject ?? Thanks Coach good like this season!

It's a 6 man box theory so if the personnel is right you can bounce between the two very smoothly and give offensive coordinators headaches.
