Enjoy the episode, guys. I don't expect it to get quite the same traffic the last one did (who doesn't love dinosaurs?) but I figured I'd strike while the iron was hot and try to keep momentum going. This series is just finally starting to take off about a year after it began. I just wanted to get people interested in older, obscure things.

Nick on Planet Ripple I would like to see a Lego rewind on all the Lego shell sets and the history of the two companies relationship and cross promotions. I would find it interesting to see your opinion on the sets and the deal between an oil company and a kids toys manufacturer.

5:40 Tiny Turbos were some of the first lego sets I ever got. Looking back on them they were really solid designs for really cheap & small builds. Now that I'm older & more familiar with real-world car models I can see what kinds of cars they were going for. Just realized they were competing with Hot Wheels & Matchbox cars, but the fact that they were constructive lego made them so much cooler. I'll definitely snag a few off of ebay soon.

for me the tiny turbo was the highlight for me in this lego line. I'm not much of a car guy either but i just loved the amount of detail they manage to cram into the small car body, it just look so cool. I remember walking into toysrus as a kid and seeing the big sets with multiple tiny cars in them and absolutely falling in love with their design, yet sadly couldn't buy any of them :'). If they do I would love them to revise the tiny turbo line in some way, that would be amazing to see again on shelves!

This channel is so much nostalgia, you keep reminding me of sets I forgot I had, even though they're in a storage bin in my closet after all these years. I knew I had a blue bike on my bookshelf, and I keep the 1:24 Ferrari F1 car on my desk, but I forgot all about the mini cars and that orange thing from the early days, as well as the street-racery ones. I didn't follow it to the present day, but its nice to see that it is staying decent. Its generally pretty innocent and it seems to keep charm in some manner throughout the years. I think I also had a puzzle-piece-like track that acted as a Racers board game?

Tiny turbos and drome racers were some of my favourite, I like the little pullbacks and the collectible cars, I got loads of them, the xalax were fun to race against the drome racers from 2002, I also have some of the larger ones and technic builds, I liked world racers despite the fact I didn't get them. Also remember that 12 stud wide city bridge transport?? The 10 stud wide double dump truck? My friend had both!! They were beasts on the shelf!! I hope Atlantis is mentioned in the underwater episode

Oh man the title got me in the nostalgia bone
My favorite set of all time is this tiny turbo that I think was an exclusive from somewhere because I have never seen it since but it was the coolest looking race car and the memorable part about it was that it had these glow in the dark lightsaber blades and it blew my mind. Its a shame I only remember the blades and not the set name. That and the colors of the race car was red and black.

I remember when I was a kid I got so many canisters of Tiny Turbos, and several of the Power Racers from the crash line. While looking back on it the gimmick wasn't that great, and made some of the cars a nightmare to keep in one piece, that line still has a special place in my heart for introducing my all-time favorite Lego Racer: Off Road Power. To this date I find that set to be the best looking, most creatively constructed, and most stable racer that I own.

The cars are from Differen teams - each with Different Storys and personalities. It gave them so much life. Part of Drome racers were The ones with figures, The Little ones with tiny figured (Not The Little Alien ones), the technic ones and the pullbacks at 5:16. they had Different scales but were Part of the Same story. I was fairly active in the custom tiny turbos community and knew a few people who pioneered techniques in making them who I wouldn't be surprised if they're working on the speed champions line given their integration. The sets coming out this year are insanely detailed since they've moved to a sorta 7-8 wide scale giving them even more detail to work with while still being accurately scaled for figs!

The "race" line had a lot of personality IMO. I managed to collect all four of the minifigs but unfortunately either lost a bunch of their pieces or they got broken over the years (Rip wrench's visor piece. I still keep the two halves of it in a LEGO chest. A lovely old piece). I built a monster truck for the yellow tiger guy (forgot his name...) with the working suspensions that amazed me so much when I was staring at them for hours on the catalogs.
I remember being really shocked to realize that the drone racers figures (the smaller ones) didn't have the usual body. I still appreciated them and had a blast playing with my friend, but I always tried and failed to incorporate them to minifig scaled cars as the engines weren't strong enough for that much weight.
As a big fan of minifigs and minifig scaled builds, I didn't give the tiny turbos the appreciation they deserved. I did buy a few sets for their pieces though.
Speed champions are great for their pieces. The detailed builds require a lot of intricate piece usage, bolstering my collection with great bricks! I personally think the vehicles look comical though, due to their windshield pieces. 4-wide on 6-wide is too big of a jump. I believe LEGO will come up with a more believable piece soon, like a 5 stud wide wind screen piece to better sit on a 6 wide build. I personally prefer using the 6x3x1 slope piece in transparent and keep the body slightly wider than 6 wide.
As a big LEGO fan, I really appreciate these videos. Keep up the good work!

Tho theres a very minor thing you didn't mention about racers.
In 2010 there was this game called The Robot Chronicles. Basically, it was a crossover game between City, Agents and Racers which, at the time, you could access the game from the each individual websites of the aforementioned themes.

This video hit me with a real big Nostalgia bomb, your work have been hitting me with nostalgia bombs. I was a big ass Lego kid and I'm not as big as I was before, I can still appreciate some of the effort put into these creative ass toys and you certainly help show them off for more to see. Great work these videos my dude

Speed Champions is one of my favorite themes. The red Stingray that came with the 20(19?) C-8 Corvette is my favorite model from the line.

I had 8:08 and some Mater and Holly Shiftwell spy set and I remember getting my Cars toys and taping LEGO lances to them like when they had the guns coming out of the doors. Ah, nostalgia. A time when I would look in old LEGO books and not understand that a set was retired and I would just ask my mom for it and I just got old Chewbacca, young Anakin, and Ben Kenobi mini figures.

My older brother owned the racers that had the mini fig head stick on the the little body, specifically the one that was green with white masked driver who had a little triangle on his face its shown at 3:44.
I also owned a semi truck tiny turbo and my little brother owned the set shown at 6:37l
And I owned the jagged jaws world racer set! 9:08
    This episode is really nostalgic

I remember as a young kid i got those driverless mini cars, and by mini i mean even a normal minifigure would be
comperable in height. I liked them a ton, and they were fun.

To be honest, the ones with the air pumps were quite fun. You could also use the pump for almost anything else, such as rockets, or aircraft.

If I were you, I would've mentioned the Tiny Turbo portable playsets, and the promotional racers found in McDonald's happy meals and various cereal boxes.

I did show the playsets, at least. I just wasn't sure what to say about them, and I'm trying to keep these videos pretty short.

Oh the childhood memories! I used to own Terrain Crusher and Raceway Rider. I loved them so much. Than Mom took them to the attic and the rest is history.

I remember turning some of those tiny race cars (mainly the blue and black) into a go cart thing for mini figs which could get multiple upgrades.
