100th Anniversary of the Old Caoling Tunnel ~ Tunnel Projection mapping Show and History Exhibition

The Old Caoling Tunnel, once the longest tunnel in Taiwan, turned 100 years old this year (1924~2024). The Northeast Corner and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area specially set up projection mapping shows in the tunnel at the north and south entrances of the tunnel to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Caoling Tunnel, the exhibition hall at the south entrance of the tunnel also has a retrospective exhibition of the old Caoling Tunnel.

The Old Caoling Tunnel is 2,167 meters long, and the one-way walk takes about 45 to 60 minutes.

There are public toilets at the north and south entrances of the tunnel.

★Public transportation: The above Google map has marked nearby bus stops, please refer to them. It is recommended to take the train to Fulong Station and walk 2 kilometers to the north entrance of Old Caoling Tunnel (or rent a bicycle to go there).
★Driving by yourself: Enter "Fulong Old Caoling Tunnel" on Google Maps satellite navigation to reach the north entrance of the tunnel. There is a free public parking lot.

原來這陣子有新活動~ 又該把握機會去看看了!
舊草嶺隧道對我這種休閒單車出遊者類型真的超級重要!!!!
因為經過這裡跟使用一般道路耗用體力天壤之別~
使用舊草嶺路線:4.5公里到福隆車站(15分鐘),少日曬超涼爽
通行東北角路線:14公里到福隆車站(50分鐘),多日曬,而且單車道起伏不少~
體力耗比可差到1:4以上,不能用這條體感差距直接讓人想原地往生QQ

大推沒有週一公休、不必線上預約、沒有管制人數；反觀週一有公休、要線上分時預約、還有管制人數的三貂嶺隧道，一樣是吉次茂七郎君所監工，卻已被新北市政府花了三億來養蝙蝠，可說是對於在隧道工程艱鉅下殉職的先人最大侮辱。

不過丟丟銅仔的伊都阿莫伊都根據考察可能是平埔族的語言，且起源不可考，只能知道現今的歌曲是呂泉生老師收集當地民謠而來
