I know it's only one season, but if this keeps up Ted & Rebecca will be right up there with Jack & Liz Lemon and Ron Swanson & Leslie Knope. Seemingly polar opposites but a deep rooted platonic LOVE for each other. (while being boss & subordinate). Just wonderfully written.
I really hope they don't make their relationship more than platonic. It's such a wonderful energy they have and I wanna see Lasso hook up with Sassy again. Moustache Jet Ski Style
You don't have to ship them as more than friends but there is zero correlation between the dynamic between these two and either Jack/Liz or Ron/Leslie. Like completely different dynamics on every level. It's also weird to me that people are so anti these two but then want him with a side character who showed up at his room for a booty call when he was at his lowest point.
@@briminyc4118 you know why lol. BC sassy is younger and petite and “fun” and Rebecca is tall, the same age as Ted & a little bit prickly. People can’t believe that a man would willing be with a woman his own age when there’s younger hotter chicks out there
@@kation While I agree with a lot of what you say, Sassy isn't younger. They may think she's younger for whatever reason but she and Rebecca are the same age as they literally went to school together. I do agree the petite thing whereas Rebecca is a bit more of a dominating and intimidating presence. I'd also take aim at the hotter considering HW is strikingly gorgeous, she just looks her age.
@@briminyc4118 I know her and Rebecca are supposed to be close in age but the actress is a 9 yrs younger than HW. And like I said, more classically feminine and petite. And very-manic pixie dream girl if you know what I mean. Men go cray for that shit. I’d love to see Ted and Rebecca together! Friends who became more, a woman who is tall and strong and not classically feminine but is age appropriate for Ted and not to mention he seems to absolutely adore her.

so agree with you, have only just found these videos over the last few days and I so love Ted Lasso's attitudes and sidekick and how he touches those around him. Rooting for him and them to all be promoted and for this to keep growing in year to come. Just so quirky and encouraging!

Friendship is still a ship so I ship although for my fave friendship is a tie between Ted and Higgins and Ted and Roy.
One of the many reasons I absolutely love this show is the way they show healthy, platonic friendships on it.

@@branchy7159 The show already has this theme going on throughout though? Ted loves everyone, and makes friends with everyone no matter how bad they can treat him.
There is a lot of platonic male & female friendships in the show.
There is literally not a valid reason on why they shouldn’t explore the potential of Rebecca and Ted down the line, if not it’s a missed opportunity.
@@JustJulie-cz8fs why is it a missed opportunity? Rebecca needs a friend not a replacement for her ex. Putting Romance on the table cheapens Teds impact in her life, as he's only doing it in hopes of getting something out of it. Ted doesn't expect anything in return and that is why we love his character.
@@branchy7159 You know your can still be friends with your lover right? Them getting together is never going to change the relationship that is already there.
And not true, Rebecca already wants to move on, she stopped herself from ever moving on, and favoured revenge which was the big point of her plot from S1. She already has been impacted by Ted.
It’s not about “expecting” it’s about their connection, both Ted and Rebecca understand one another like nobody else does, and have the connection.
When Roy tells Rebecca she shouldn’t settle for “just fine” it sounded like it was pointing out that she can do somebody better like Ted.
Right? I mean it is sad when a show uses romance as a crutch but they're clearly building up to something here, both Ted and Rebecca are, in fact, romantics, and they could make each other really happy, I agree with you that not investing in their chemistry would be a missed opportunity especially when the show already has so many other great platonic relationships between men and women.

I’ve seen clips of this show on the internet but never really paid much attention. After watching this I need to see more!! I don’t even know who these characters are but they are adorable together ❤️
How is it that a show based off a joke commercial is seemingly one of the most relatable, funny, and caring shows ever made?
I really thought she and Ted were going to end up together in the second season before the reveal, I wasn't too disappointed but I really want to see them try... Maybe they both just need a friend at this point but I'll be sad if the show ends with one or both of them alone if not together...
It's still early days, Jaime and Keeley were an established couple and now they're not, I have a hard time seeing Rebecca and Sam lasting as a couple, so I have hope her and Ted will still be the endgame! I'm always a fan of the slowburn relationships, so here's to hoping!

Just finished the season. Can't say I ship them but can't say I don't ship them either. I love you Philinda edits that's why I subscribed btw and they can be like Philinda, great as a couple but perfect as friends. Also great edit, checked other ones too all of them are great

their chemistry is so so good it’s almost a dealbreaker for me that they just don’t get together, rebecca and sam don’t fit at all in my opinion, it’s not any of their fault it’s just that sudeikis and hannah have such intense and incredible chemistry that they don’t utilize that anyone else with rebecca or anyone else with ted is so foreign to me, they’re like two pieces of a puzzle that only fit together

I don’t necessarily want them as a couple (I think it’d be awesome if this remained a wholesome, platonic friendship) - that being said, if they wanted to go the romantic route, I trust this show to do it well enough that I could get on board.

The character development between these characters is brilliant. Their friendship is so well crafted that it would be an utter shame if it progressed beyond that. However, it would not be surprising if it did. I don't ship either, but I ... (as another user commented) ... I 100% stan this friendship.
