- In the TV Series 7th Heaven episode "The Color of God" the Camden kids go down the line pranking each other by getting them to stick their hand over salted butter thinking it will heat up. Eventually, Ruthie pulls the trick on John Hamilton, and is able to get him to FINALLY have a sense of humor after being negative throughout the entire episode.

Ah the 90s where us kids knew how to prank safely and have good clean fun. Not like now with the deadly and dangerous tiktok pranks.
Now that was a good one. I wish that a lot of people had that same kind of humor. Where other people don't get all bend out of shape. Just because someone pulled a good joke like that. Way to go 7th heaven.
I forgot how much i loved this show
My drama class was having our end of year dinner, when one of older students tried to do this with ketchup to my friend. He put some ketchup on a plate, added salt and said "Hey Peter, did you know that when you add salt to ketchup, it get's hot?" When he waved his hand over it, Peter pushed his hand into the ketchup...causing everyone to laugh

My cousin did this to my little brother last weekend and my brother flipped out. he threw the butter on my cousins brand new shirt. i tried explaining that it was a joke, but my brother didnt believe me and thought our cousin was really trying to make fun of him and hurt him. So, THANK YOU for making this clip. I can show it to him now to prove its a joke

I feel like I learned this from that pbs kids show Zoom a looonnggg time ago. They must've gotten it from here lol. Definitely pranked a few people with this...ah good times.

I love 7th Heaven. So glad that I can rewatch it now that it is on SABC 2 on week days at 14:00pm in South Africs. I love Matt and Lucy is my favourite. Also enjoy watching what Mary, Simon and Ruthie get up to and how Eric and Annie handle the situations that crop up in their family life. Such a fantastic show 💖💖😍

It's only funny, in my opinion if the victim of the prank actually says, they don't feel anything. Thus you slam their hand so they do. Otherwise it seems lame.
