I have been watching many videos on making a junk journal and lots of them are great, but since watching these 3 parts of this Junk Journal for beginners series, I now feel that I CAN do it. You have helped me so much, I am truly grateful. Thank you ten times over.
I feel the same way. I am sad that she is not making a lot more videos since she made this series. I think these are some of the very best tutorials I have seen.
Hi! Thank you so much for the nice comments. 😊 I went through a bit of a rough patch for a little bit, so I couldn’t record videos, but I’m back now & I have a few new videos up & a new series started! I hope you’ll come back & enjoy my crafty journey! ~ Chrissy 💜
I just binge watched all three videos for this junk journal. Just learned about them! I love your presentation on how to make these! Thanks so much for sharing. Now I know what I am going to do with all the vintage family photos, postcards, magazines and cards I have! Excited to work on them!
Becky Blackburn That’s awesome! You will have lots of fun! I’m in the process of buying a new home & moving right now but I have some new ideas & videos coming soon! 😁
I enjoyed watching you create your journal from start to finish and I absolutely loved how it turned out. It's Beautiful and your a true inspiration! I'm so happy I found your channel. Thank You for sharing...
Thank u so much for sharing this video as I am a beginner and didn’t know wear to start it has been so interesting watching the 3 videos and u make it look so easy lol thank u again and I do watch a lot of your videos
Your white background is so easy on the eyes!! I never thought of lace on lace, what a grand idea! The little booklet with the butterfly is so neat! You are so good at this craft! I'm so glad I found your channel!!💛💛
Hi, I’m new to your channel. I just want to say I loved the way you presented this 3 part tutorial! It shows the “Reality “ of how decisions are actually made.... how you go back and forth talking it out is important for viewers to understand that it’s ok . The creative process is what’s needed and you projected it very well. It is important for viewers to be validated in the processing. Thank you for this experience.
Thank you! 😁That’s exactly why I started this channel. It’s a hard balance when there’s so many people that want you to edit out those parts. But I want this to be like a real sit down crafting with me & you can’t edit real life. Lol So thank you for seeing & understanding what I’m doing. I really appreciate that! 😊
I've been collecting things for junk journals for a while. I've made a couple of just plain journals, but for some reason I haven't started trying a junk journal yet. And I've watched many MANY tutorials about it. After watching your series I think I'm ready to give it a try. Thank you for taking your time. It really helped.
Cathy Haynes Aw thank you!! It’s so much fun making them because there is no rules. You can be as creative as you want. It’s also relaxing & stress reliving to me. You will love making them & before you know it you’ll have a stack of them in no time because they are addicting. Lol 😁
Thank you so much for your time and sharing your ideas. I had the best time watching and learning. You are a great teacher. Your pace is good and your knowledge and ability to share it is great. Thanks so much. I will be watching for you.
I have really enjoyed watching your videos of how to junk journal. Actually, it has been my favorite and you explained everything so well. I can’t wait to see other videos you create!
I added a comment that it seemed like I missed a video because you seemed farther along, but after watching it, you explained everything you did very clearly as usual!🌸🥰👍🏼
You got me inspired! I made a journal - not quite done yet - and did the sewing of the spine etc. Can’t believe I did it! thank you so much for a detailed and well presented tutorial.
Just got turned on to the idea of making a junk journal did a search & found yurs. Like what U did. As a newbie to this process , found yur step-by-step instructions easy to use & understand the method ....TFS
Aww thank you 💗 I’m actually fixing to start on a new step by step junk journal just to kind of refresh bc the videos I did are older. You could make one along with me! 😁
Thank you! 😊 I always make up a name for stuff if I don’t know the actual name. Lol 😂 & sometimes it’s just the mama in me that I can’t help because of how I talk to my little ones. Lol
Thank you for showing us your demo!! Your Journal looks Great!.. However!.. You went a little too fast at the End! As a Beginner.. I would have Loved for You to Do a Slower “Flip Through” Explaining & Showing us ALL the Little things You created! Like the first page.. Pulling out that little tag (with the embroidery) out of the pocket & Etc!! Because.. All those Little things & Your ideas is The inspiration (& motivation) we get to Start a Journal!! Thank You Again!! It was a Pleasure. 🙌🙌💓💓🤗👍👍💦💦💦🌹🌹🌹
This is really a great video. I'm not new to JJing but I'm no expert either. I've been watching JJ videos for nearly two years and have always thought it was cool that this instructor knew that instructor and everybody in the circle knew who was who. I still think it's cool, but something you said made me realize that if I follow the same people I'll learn the same stuff. 🤦♀️ Duh!! You did so many new and wonderful things - new to me anyway - in the first vid alone. I'm look forward to learning more from you. Love from your newest subbie in the Southern California desert, MK 💗🌵😁
Hi Chrissy, I just wanted to tell you how much I like your videos and how you teach and explain things.😀😀. Just a quick question for you. What would be your recommendation for an inexpensive glue that is effective. It seems like it’s the most used supply. I like the art glue but it’s pretty expensive.
Thank you so much! 😁 Yes it is pricey. That’s why I save it for little things & mainly when I record videos because it dries fast. When I’m doing my normal everyday crafting/ making journals I use fabri-tac. If I’m making a journal for a gift or to sell I only use fabri-tac because it’s strong & holds together for years. It’s kinda expensive too, but, I only buy it at Michaels with a coupon & that makes it affordable. I also cut the tip at a small slight angle so I can use it for small things. It doesn’t get all gloopy that way too. Also, for less important things like tags & ephemera I use regular white school glue & it holds up just fine. & that helps stretch the expensive glue for the major parts that you want a stronger hold. I hope that helps. If you have any more questions I can help with please ask! Thanks ~ Chrissy 😊
Thank you for all three videos. I am a new follower. In your signature you put an envelope in it, folded (not referring to the smaller white one, glued). You said you like to put them in your signatures. How do you decorate and use them? I didn’t see it in this video. Thanks.
You can use them for anything you want really. 😁 I use mine for many different things. I have some I use just to write my thoughts in, I have one that I save things I get from my kids kind of like a scrapbook, I have one that I write memories & different things in it that’s for my kids for when they’re older & I’m not here that they can go through & see all the things I wrote to them, I have one that I write poems & quotes in that make me happy & when I’m feeling like I need inspiration or feeling down I read through it, I have a few that I put pictures in & write a memory of that day, I have one that I keep all my family or favorite recipes in. Pretty much anything you want to use it for. 💕
@@ChrissyDesigned That makes it clearer, thank you. I'm probably struggling with the concept because I've not got that much to record these days (no family) after retiring. It's a beautiful way to keep all those things though and I admire the results you achieve. Thank you for the info, looking forward to seeing more.
I’m so happy I got to help with sharing my ideas 😊 there’s always new ideas & ways of doing things that are different. I’ve been making journals for about 10 years & I still learn something new all the time!💗
Your voice is so calming . You are very encouraging, especially to me, a beginner. Thank you ,for these 3 videos.
I absolutely love the double pocket thing at about 545 min. Would love to see any more you have like that! Love your channel!

I don't mind that you had to put it in parts because there's a lot of good information in the series that you've done.
❤❤❤

I’m not exactly sure which one you are referring to but I’ll go back through the video & try to figure out which one & I’ll get back to you! 😀
How many pieces of paper did you use?
I think this a beautiful craft but I'm struggling with the purpose. Is it to record things in like a diary? Still, lovely work.
