I have a pair of 15.7 oz Momotaro's from rivet and hide. Been wearing them for 7 months, they are still stiff as hell.
They had a cold water soak a month ago. Glad your back to putting videos up again, your one of my go to clothes reviewers.
Thanks, it feels good to be making some reviews again. Might give them an early soak to get a bit of starch out!
I wouldn't worry about giving your Momos a proper machine wash. They are hard faders. Just use high quality detergent (I make my own) and the usual guidelines. You'll find they get much softer and fuzzy / hairy.
When the notification goes off that the Devon Reviewer has posted a new video .... that is a great day! Thank you. Hello from 10-plus inches of today's snow storm near Red Wing, Minnesota.
Thanks, thats great to hear, hope things are good with you, I would love a bit of snow over here!
I have one too about 2 weeks ago, with the white stripes label. My first selveedge momotaro jeans...very excited..looking forward to wear it frequently to break it in. Yeaaahhhh! I love all yr videos..bought my red wing boots moc toe 1907 after watching yr video too...tqvm bro.
Glad to see you back and reviewing Momotaro!
Thanks!
Just down the road from Red Wing, Merry Christmas to Mr. and Mrs. Devon Reviewer. And hoping for tons of videos in 2022 from the best channel on YT! Cheers from Minnesota, USA!
Nice. I have the Copper Label tight straight from Momo which come in slightly lighter. You'll find that with a good wash (I make my own laundry liquid), the denim actually is quite fuzzy / hairy. The Zimbabwean cotton yarn is just unbelievable, I understand why only the top tier denim.brands use it. It gives a cloth that is just between the tight shiny USA style and very neppy fuzzy Japanese denim.
Missed your video man! Glad you’re back!
A great intelligent and informed review. I will definitely by trying a pair of these on
Happy to see you again, missed your videos for a while. Hope everything’s good
Thank you! All good!
Good to see you back uploading. Looking forward to the ONI update!
Thanks! Lots to update on!
i miss your content man! i need more of your content!
Working on it!
YOU'RE BACK!
Absolutely!
good to have you back, but not so keen on the go-faster stripes
Ha, yes it is a strong look in the world of denim, the green I think tones it down a little
Have been watching your channel for a while. Really like you review on boots and denim. Particular, the size measuring part. Have a momotaro jeans similar cut model number g015mz in size 33. Do find them fit slight large than other Japanese denim brand on waist. I think I am similar Body type as you. Probably a little higher than you(185cm, 80kg). Highly recommend you try SDA’s Mother Earth jeans. I got one recently in 33. It much dramatic taped than this one and its most popular 108 silhouette. Think you will like that. Also recommend you try oni’s stylish taped cut. Got one in 32 during the blackfriday sale fit perfectly. Think it by far the best oni’s cut. Thanks so much for great review as always. Looking forward your update on your samurai jeans.
Thanks for the recommendations, I wouldnt say these are more generous in cut than most japanese brands, I am typically 32 or 33 tag, I tend to go by actual measurements due to the variation.
Thanks for the comment on measurements I always wonder whether this adds value!
We are probably a similar body type I am 178cm 76kg!
Samurai update soon!
i wished i had sized up 1 one this cut as it looks really good but my thighs are on the medium side only just making a little too snug in the area. i can still wear them it's is not totally unbearable but also not super comfortable. the fabric on the 0306-v has minimal stretch which does not help either
The Japanese says "nihon ichi" so basically saying number one in Japan [jeans]
Thanks, that is interesting to know!
I Would love one of these. Money isn't the issue. My lifestyle is. I just don't have the time to actively care for something so Fragile.
Fragile? Are u watching the same review as i am? Anything but fragile my friend 😂 battle stripes and fragile dont belong in the same sentence lol
@@jonathanpforr3844 I Meant Non Machine washable and non drying with max Heat type of fragile.
Nice video! I'm thinking of ordering a Momotaro shirt or two from Japan while the yen is favorable. I watched your original video about the jacquard shirt, and I'm wondering how it has stood up after a few years of washing and wearing. I believe it's a size 42. Can you tell me your height and weight so that I have an idea of what size range to narrow in on? I'm 183cm and 72kg.
Also, does your discount code for Denimio still work?
Thanks!
Glad to see one of your video pop up.
More to come!
Should give that buzz rickson jacket a wash and do a 1 year review maybe
It has had a few washes and indeed is about ready for a 1 year update.. only thing is it is bullet proof and pretty much as good as new!
29 size levis (washed) is fit(a few tight) for me, how do i choose momtaro (unwashed and don't consider shrink)?
Waiting for your 6 months update :)
Update?
Perfect 👌
岡山:Okayama

Kojima district, Okayama prefecture is known for producing the finest denim in Japan.
Thank you, thats a great explanation!
why tight taper... the peach boy looks like he's suffocating
Thanks for sharing! Very nice pair. Craving those ^ans!
Thanks for watching!
lovely jeans, but those stripes, in whatever the colour, are too ostentatious.... i prefer gustin's subtle marketing
I think the green is a bit more subdued, but it is quite a strong look in the world of denim.. not quite as in your face as Evisu!
@@DevonReviewer had to google them, and man.... i need two pairs
I love that depiction of Kim Jong-un on the patch.
