Asir suggested me this car 6 years back.....at that time I was using Vento....when he said about S-cross I was hesitant ...I have never dreamt this car even in my wildest dreams...and I hate the appearance of S-cross....But Asir insisted me to go for a test drive for this car.....After test drive I found it was much better than Vento in space, comfort, brakes, driving confidence etc.....using S-cross for the past 5 years, crossed 80k kms.....apart from regular service...no unanticipated expenses and no other issues till now.....

Hi Asir. As usual you have Nailed it.
I own a Scross it's the best Value for money cars with allround capability (4wheel Disc + 2 Airbag+ Excellent Backseat and riding comfort and superior built). Compared to costly Chinese and Korean toys with Fancy gadgets (Sunroof + 6 Airbag+ AI enabled etc). Scross stands for the price we give. As I mentioned in my previous video comments too. A country like India doesn't need a sunroof car and Even a 8 airbag Volvo has also failed to safe people in accidents. Its not the cars with more airbag decides your safety. It's a man behind the wheels. Prevention is always better than cure. It's a Car designed for European market driven in India.

Your review on Maruti S-Cross model is a nice one. I have driven Zeta variant of this model around 5,000 kms and my experience both as a driver and a passenger completely align with the points you have mentioned in your review of this car. Its high speed stability during cornering, suspension comfort, large passenger space, large boot volume, recline adjustment of the backseat, road view, all-wheels disc brakes are this model's highlights. You have mentioned about its lack of features like wireless chargers, Bose audio system etc. which I feel are only gilt & tinsel features, and the lack of those features are only to be ignored if you compare the cost of this model with the likes of the SUVs like Hyundai Creta, KIAs etc. which are Rs.2.5 to 3.0 lakhs more in price. I'm very thankful to you for having made a good review of S-CROSS which deserves the attention of our Moto Wagon viewers.

Bought the manual Zeta varient 3 months back.
Even in the manual, you miss the 6th gear on the highway. Especially at 100+ kmph.
Lack of rear AC vent is another negative.
Suspension, handling, ride quality, space and city drivability are the positive highlights.

I own a 2018 1.3 ddis and it’s pretty good. Here is my honest Review
    Pros
Stability on higher speed. Stays stable at 150+ km/hr.
It’s a practical vehicle. You can easily load and unload things in boot as it’s flat. Easy 60/40 split make things even better.
Four wheel disc brakes is a great plus but changing from stock pads to good brand will be more effective.
Alpha model led headlights are pretty good.
Body roll is very less and we feel more spacious especially in the back seat.
Looks more premium inside with full black interior
Audio quality is descent and the infotainment system is average.
Good build quality. Once a Etios hit the car from the back and the etios is completely damaged in the front and i had only the bumper cracked. I hit a renault lodge once, only the bumper is broken a bit and the lodge rear door is completely damaged.
    Cons :-
    Paint quality should be improved.
It’s actually not leather especially steering wheel. Easily gets peeled off.
NVH can be improved. We can get the doors damped after market
I am using 1.3 ddis. Pickup is pretty low in less then 2k rpm. I got the car remapped and it’s pretty good. I get 112 bhp around and pretty good mileage as well.
We don’t need Rear Ac vents all the time but it does helps for sometime.
JK tyre is very poor in performance which makes things rattle very soon which happens in suzuki cars down the line.
People say maruti or nexa cars is cheaper to maintain but it costs around 10 k for every service.

Purchased last year after seeing many reviews including motowagon.. one part of the review that was not covered in any other review was the review back seat space with 3 adults, helped me assess and consider this car to start with.. this review only one observation.. there was to much blurring.. sometimes the blur was cutting into the main video also.. otherwise good coverage.. thank you .

Semma detailed review bro. I liked 1.6 L DDIS engine performance when i drove it in 2016 and 1st time they came with xenon hid projector headlamps with good visibility in night drive. That time alpha model was around 16.5 lakhs and bit priced higher due to >4m and 1598cc. What u said about interior comfort was absolutely true and i felt it. Only thing in my mind that time was affordable price car loaded with features, SUV looks, better mileage and Sub 4m car, So i went for brezza zdi plus. Waiting for Next gen s cross in India.

Good review. Taking delivery of S-Cross Zeta tomorrow. Super excited. I had initially booked i20 Asta, cancelled after taking test drive of S-Cross and Honda City. Didn't go for City due to maneuverability and ground clearance. My usual routes will definitely test City's underbody and I won't be able to enjoy driving coz of that. But it's a great car if you are consistently driving in smooth roads. In the same segment we have Creta, Seltos etc, But I felt S-Cross is the best Value for Money car. If you are looking for car with loaded features, one has to look elsewhere.

Being a proud owner of s-cross 1.3D, I agree to each and every aspect that you conveyed sir, NVH level is the only thing I consider as negative but that too will be unfelt when drive at less than 2k rpm 70-80 kms, it will be a bliss and will be like sitting on a sofa , the stock tyres are not good it lasted for 35k even though I drive SH and NH good roads most of the time, sir didn't mention about mileage !☺️
I'm getting 22-23kmpl till date but this is due to 1.3l diesel and most of drives are on SH and NH less engagement of gear shifts and 70-100 kmph is my usual speed limit

    Great series 👌
My humble opinion. I see there is a reason for Suzuki not marketing this as 5 * , it could be similar to seltos story. The euro and us version of seltos is 5* rated whereas Indian spec is 3* only. Same way could be true for s cross as well. I’m no expert but saying this just comparing kerb weight of Indian vs international spec there is weight difference of nearly 150-200 kg.

I like S-cross Diesel variant more than any other Maruti Suzuki Cars. It has enough space and drivability. Interior feel and suspension is one of the best in the segment i can say.
Major drawbacks are Low Initial Pickup in first 3 Gears and Less braking power. If you see a Barricade you must pedal the brake immediately to get control.
I have driven this car in Madurai - Ramanathapuram Road so many times which is easy to drive same time dangerous with local peoples driving wrong side.
Overall S-cross needs Some update on brake, pickup power and Infotainment system.

    1.) Honda city 4 th gen V
    2.) S cross Zeta

If you are looking for reliability and long term ownership look between city and s cross.. rest will be heavy on pocket as they age.. if you don't intend keeping for more than 4-5 years.. then maybe vento.. remaining 2 brands are over priced and not stable in Indian market yet.. but if we don't consider any of the above and just have to pick based on performance and quality .. pick vento.. solid build and awesome feel inside cabin for the quality..
