All because I spoke quote and quote proper English 😂. But it’s only because my dad wouldn’t allow us to speak patois at home. He said patois is your native language you’ll never forget it. I now live in the 🇺🇸and I can hide my accent if I want to, but I choose not to. Most people outside off the Caribbean are interested in Jamaican culture. I love being Jamaican🇯🇲💗🎉🎉🎉😊
The first place I ever came was to Kingston cause that’s where my man came from, but I love it so much, from staying at Altomont court hotel to Wellington road. Love Jamaican life.

My cousin migrated to NY, whenever me and my siblings visited, she said she was going back to JA. She went to Florida to visit her son and grandchildren. Next I know, she is back in Jamaica In her big house in Spanish Town. I have a friend who is a medical doctor and his brother, a professional in his own right went back to Kingston. Another friend who is a professor and headed one of the Facilities at the University of the West Indies ( UWI) was offered a position at a university in the state I was living in and after one term the whole family was back in Kingston. She said she was depressed and the children missed their friends. Her children are now a lawyer and a doctor. She is all over the world lecturing. She is a linguist and wrote many books. My sister told me that she showed her the Bible written in the Jamaican dialect. So people are happy in Kingston. The lady asking the questions should have done her due diligence and do a little research on Jamaica and I am sure she would have gotten the answers to the questions she was asking the ire Jamaican Sister.
There is attraction otherwise from beaches and Kingston as a lot to offer believe me just need to advertise some of those spots but u know a really the stigma

Whenever my mom visits Jamaica she absolutely loves Kingston. She said she feels very safe there. Granted we are from another island but the old lady say she feel safe.

I visited Kingston whenever I went to Jamaica last time. I liked it the people were friendly and I met some awesome people. I’m excited to fly back and stay again. Beautiful place and beautiful people love Jamaica it’s a chill place and chill vibe it felt so familiar but not at the same time

Uptown and downtown blends together. It’s just the money that separates the two cultures. Out of many, One.🇺🇸🇯🇲
Kingston also is considered a place where more business and diplomacy is conducted and less tourism. Also not a lot of beaches there.
