    Nice pass, still climbing..

      @@audiquattrojamie I was having trouble taping the bodies today, soo much moisture on everything and cold at the same time. Got it done tho

    You’re getting faster with that car! Before you know it this car will become a blur like all the rest you run 😂

    Nice run, man. That is a cool body. I have the first-gen Dome but I’ve never run it. I like how you’ve trimmed the rear kick-up, it looked pretty extreme the way it was.

    • @vwturbowolf
      @vwturbowolf  24 дня назад +1

      @@danb.4571 this new version has slightly less kickup but I am slowly trimming it down to keep stability but not have too much downforce.
      After this run and comparing logs I think the body is causing a little drag so I am throwing an identical motor setup and hearing into a fc100 vte2 to compare next week

      @@vwturbowolf The FC100 is really the gold standard at this point, it will be a good comparison. I got an FC100 SWB for an ultimate 328mm build and was really disappointed to find that the SWB version does not have fender flares to get the wind over the tires. It’s really pretty slab-sided and the rubber is out at least 10mm. It also has a different lower front that isn’t nearly as aerodynamic as the one for the Lim. I’m probably going to get the full length Lim version and fit that before the car sees any serious speed. It might even be advantageous to have a longer arse-end on it. Your progress is great to watch, as always. You’re doing this all the right way, man. I just wish I had your road and could drive as well as you!

      @@danb.4571 I have been running that swb fc100 body on my vte that I got up to 186,
      I end up heating the body and shaping the front wheel wells to curve out slightly, essentially made fender flares. It still does really well. I think I will be able to do 190+ with that setup when I push it more next season.
      I appreciate you watching

      @@vwturbowolf I did heat and flare the front wheel arches a little, but not enough before I painted it. I didn’t think I could pull them out enough without pulling holes in the lexan. I’m a chicken, I’ll admit it…

    Lovely pass. Curious how many passes you're getting on a set of wheels?

    • @vwturbowolf
      @vwturbowolf  25 дней назад +2

      @@chrislang7460 single motor cars I usually see 15-20 runs.
      I shave my tires down to 94-95 mm
      But I have run many back to back 180-190’s passes on one set of tires
