    Thank you for this! I have a university project and have not done herbarium specimen mounting before. They suggested Scotch tape and I was not enthusiastic about that prospect!

    This is exactly what I was looking for. I could only find a gummed tape "dispenser" which was astronomically priced. It now makes so much sense to use sponges, especially for the glue. Thank you for putting the time and effort into this. Can you answer a question though... does the specimen label always have to be in the bottom right corner? I feel like some of my pressed plants are more aesthetic with their stems in the bottom right corner. Is it a no-no to switch that up?

    Can plants be preserved in dilute alcohol?

      Yes!! :)
      Personally I've only done dry preserving for plants, but a 70% isopropyl alcohol should preserve the plant without color fading too much. Although sometimes you need a weaker solution
