Hi. I did it! I just made one and I love it! I have the three pockets and I punched a small half circle to get the tags out easier. Thank you for your video. It's the perfect size to use up bits & pieces of stuff!
@@megjournals I think I'm going to make these as sister "love" journals for my three sisters (for Christmas) and the pockets will have little love notes inside. Things like thanking them and memories from the past year. I'm going to order mini photos from Shutterfly (the collage sheets) and cut them up for some of the pages in the journal to make them really personal.
Gorgeous, love your no sew journal will give this a try this evening, thanks for sharing if you don’t like the unliked 12x12 sheet we can collage over it as well. The alpha’s are a great help for the correct way to fold. Thanks for sharing ❤❤.
Yes we were - especially in Western Carolina Mountains, where I am currently. Neighbors helping neighbors is currently the way it’s going. Thank you for asking. God bless!
@@weaver7249been holding western NC and east TN up in prayer daily. I know the news isn't telling us the whole story. I'm near Spartanburg SC. We were without power for just over 10 days. All we lost was our cold and frozen food. We were just unconvinced really. So many up there have lost everything. God bless and keep you safe❤
I like these zines made out of master boards, mixed media papers or just plane papers. Great tutorial I will share around because it the best of all of them so far 😊 Merci
I made a few of these a couple of years ago but I used all the pockets to put in some mindful thoughts and phrases. I also made one from an 6 x 6 which I kept for myself. I keep it with me at all times. This is definitely a very good idea and hope many people will try it. ❤
❤ 👍🥰 Thanks for the tutorial... Love this easy way to make a base for a journal. I have sooo much scrapbook paper, so now it's time to start creating something with them.😊
I've just made one - so easy! I'd love to see how you decorated the pages with your lovely collage papers as I'm not sure what to do with it now lol. Your example one is gorgeous - I'd love to see how you got from A to B, so to speak!
I didn't have the large 12x12 paper so I used a page from a large garden book and made a very cute rectangular shaped book using the exact same principle. Lots of fun!
Love this! I have used the same technique, sometimes with covers too, to make little mini books for friends over the past 12 years or so but it’s fun to see the differences in how you approach and use them. I have normally glued the pages together (having some as pockets) rather than having it as an accordion book.
Miss Meg, I like this idea. It looks simple enough. I have a lot of 12 x 12 that I don't use, so now I can give this a try. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰💖👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
I love this! I've been watching you collage in your tall & skinny journal & wanted to have one myself. Now I know what to do.❤ I made one. I have one of the "pocket" pieces with the staples at the top. Is it supposed to be like that? The other 2 are stapled at the bottom. I followed the tutorial to a T, and watched it several times.

Wow, that’s amazing! I’m so glad you made one and love it! The half-circle punch for the tags is such a clever idea. What are you going to include?🤗

I still remember my excitement first seeing a tutorial for “maze books” as part of a scrapbooking magazine as a teenager!
Ahh maze books, I’ve never heard of that! Off down a rabbit hole I go!
@@megjournals that was just their name for this kind of one sheet book I think!
This is so cute! ❤
Great tutorial!
Thank you!
I'm going to give this a try ❤
Brilliant!!!😊

It’s very nice love it! BTW where did you get your cardstock double sided?@megjournals thanks
This one is from The Works but I also like The Range and HobbyCraft :)
Thank you for sharing. Was it only 3 you turned into pockets? How about the2, 4 and 6 pages? Mine are open on the top and bottom. Thanks again!
Those extend out a like accordion pages 😃

Yes that’s right - with the way the folds are you will ☺️
@@megjournals thank you!
Instead of using washi tape to keep things from sliding out the back, you can start your collage on those areas.
Hold on…. £4!!!!!
$22 I see in Texas.
Wow! To be fair the pads from The Works are on the cheaper end...a bit like your dollar tree almost. I do see ones for £10 in the likes of HobbyCraft!
Don't you think you should give some credit to the original creator???
Who is the original creator?
