Thank you for the ability to practice exposure therapy with my 2 dogs. I played it for just 10 seconds then gave a small food reward to my lab and terrier. Next day played 15 seconds and rewarded. Increased by 5 seconds daily until we got to 1 minute. By then, neither of them were afraid anymore. Now I play this for 1 minute every day the week before the 4th of July . The 4th is no longer a terrifying issue!
Currently playing this on top of what’s going on outside and let me tell you it’s helping. Hearing both inside n outside it’s not making her as anxious as to just the outside fireworks going off
I’ve got a 5 month old pup and I’m just playing this regularly so he just gets accustomed to the noise. I absolutely love bonfire night and don’t want to have to stop going because of my dog so I’d rather he was socialised and acclimatised to it as opposed to petrified of it. I’m gradually increasing the duration and volume each day.

Interesting video. I love fireworks but not what it can do to babies and pets. My contention with this video is that it isn't nearly as loud as the real deal is when a display is happening. I'm NOT hatd of hearing, and to me this sounds off in the distance, like 10-12 blocks away. And dogs have more sensitive hearing, especially breeds that were hunting dogs. So if this is helpful to the fub babies, bravo.
My neighbour is scaring my 3 fur babies with real firecrackers next door. Gonna play this and get my dogs to get used to this sound so that we can have the last laugh.

I think it's sadistic to "prank" a pet with traumatic noises. However this can be used to slowly desensitize pets to fireworks/ new year's gunshots etc. It should be used cautiously and with concern for one's pet's ability to adjust.

This sound does help! I’m playing this in the room while new year eve fireworks going on. My dogs are not annoyed by it any more.

Starting six weeks early to get her used to it, on 2-10% volume. It just doesn't do it. She is already pacing.
