My opinion, you are #1 in the 3D print category of videos. Just perfect info, always to the point whereas so many others are trying to be characters/influencers.
There is an upgrade/add-on kit now available for this model which includes a BIQU H2 extruder, linear rails and belt tensioners for X & Y. I'm still testing the upgrade kit but so far it seems to work really well and adds some much desired upgrades without needing to design and figure out everything yourself.
The $320 kit is working great! It works as good as any conveyor belt printer, except my bed doesn't stick that well for smaller objects. I am still interested in testing the upgrade kit in the future :)
@@AuroraTech I am having the opposite problem. I print small things well and anything long will fail around 300mm. I have messed with it for hours and do not seem to be making any improvements. I am trying to print a 13 hour print and it looks good most of the way but when it's about an hour away of finishing, something goes wrong. Sometimes I think it would be best to just switch it back to an Ender 3 but then I get another idea of what might work.

There is some software for that to print infinite parts of sections of models, allowing for neat things such as chain making. You should check it out. Some youtuber made his belt printer print infinite chains.
Very nice video. Printing long objects, a bigger nozzle diameter might be usefull. Sadly the design of the Revo nozzles do not allow tilting the nozzle 45°, as the ring would touch the belt before the nozzle tip. Maybe a 30° belt printer would work with Revo... There are two reasons I would prefer Revo on a belt-printer: - quick change for nozzle diameter - very nice tip of the filament after unloading (better than e3d V6 heatbreak Prusa Edition), so an Multi-Material-Unit (like the Enraged Rabbit Carrot Feeder) should work without problems So for easy swapping nozzle diameter, a quick toolchange adapter might be an alternative. Have you tried different nozzle sizes with belt printers?
I feel like vez's new LSD hotend will be good for high clearance, high flow, and even non-planar printing. This belt kit is definitely tempting! Gotta decide between the 90 kit and the 45 kit....
@@ryangamble5131 I do not think the kinematic of a belt printer can go up in speed so far you can use this high flow. Also I think there is a limit in nozzle diameter you can use in 45°. A 0.4 mm nozzle already is 0.28mm closer to the bed on one side than on the other side; with a 0.8 mm nozzle the differce is twice as much. With more diameter and more speed I think bed adheasion will become more problematic. Thats the reason I asked if aurora tested different nozzle sizes.

The printer modification looks simple and I was wondering if it’s possible to change out the middle bars for longer ones and buy a wider belt to make it fit the Ender-3 S1 Plus? I havent seen it done but i dont see why there would be any complications and there are no mods for the S1 Plus that i could find
I saw they have a sidewinder X1 kit, but I don't think you can modify the ender-3 S1 plus with that kit. As the screen, the size of the gantry, and the firmware are different, it would be better to just buy a used Ender-3 for less than $100 or get a SideWinder X1 if you need a larger print volume. For belt printers, I like the IdeaFormer IR3 which has a print volume of 250x250xInfinite, it's just around $600 and works right out of the box.
how do you level something like this. i notice you say you do it like how you would without a bltouch, but that also requiers you to use the nozzle close to the bed at all 4 corners etc.
The print head just prints in one line, you just need to level the front of the bed and make the back relatively level to the front would be fine. For example, tighten all 4 knobs all the way and release one circle before you start leveling. If you raise 3 circles at the front, also turn 3 circles at the back.
I wonder if this kit could be made to work with an ender-3 max (obviously the belt won't be wide enough though, but surely must be some way around that)
I am having such a hard time leveling this bed and getting everything working. What start and stop G code do you use? I used the provided code in the instructions but it tried to retract a ton of filament in the beginning of the print. I just cannot get this to print anything at all. Do you have any advice or direction to point to? Thanks so much!
Good videos, i watched both of your conveyor belt printer videos. My only constructive criticism is that the pace of the video is a bit slow. I fixed it for my self by watching it on 2x or 1.5x speed

Back in 1965 when I was in high school in California they offered Physics and Calculus (as an advance placement JC course) course which would be a long wait for you. I believe you would do well to study these now before some big distracting opportunity comes along in technology. BTW, before tackling Calculus one needs some background in Trigonometry and Algebra. That should be a snap for you. Great video BTW.

I mean, even for an adult, that would be considered smart (understanding Gcode, handling 3D softwares, understanding all the subtleties of every parts of many different kinds of 3D printers, being able to identify the flaws of a product and being able to know what should be done to improve it, making those videos with everything that it requires (filming, lighting, writing script, being in front the camera reading the text/making manipulations on the products, sound recording, editing etc... That "video production" part only is already a lot of work and they nail it every weekend), all of this is a very high amount of knowledge), and yet, they're still so young. Imagine if they go on like this, what they'll be able to do when they'll be 20 years old O_o I know a lot of teens around 15 years old in my family/friends circle, and I think I know only one who knows how to handle a computer, all the others, they don't even know how to copy/delete a file on a computer, and they don't want to try to understand. Here, she's 12 and her brother 15, and seeing the quality of their videos, and the accuracy of their reviews and how well they are constructed, I don't know what else to say but they blow my mind! :D TL;DR: People, please immediately give this channel a least 1 million subscribers and and give her and her brother the same amount of prizes/rewards!

No, this kit only works with Ender-3, Pro, and V2. Moreover, the Ender-3 S1 Pro cost $500, it would be a better choice to just buy a $600 CoreXY belt printer with linear rails. Please also check out my IdeaFormer IR3 Belt printer video. ruclips.net/video/XS56PQIeCoc/видео.html
If you print from bottom to top, some part of the model will go out of the bed and loss adhesion. If you print from left to right, the print head will run into the printed parts.

You can use the M808 command to loop the Gcode you need to print.

At 5:12, if you put the bars on top of the orange bracket, you would not need to print and use the extra 5mm spacer
