Does It Fit?? Placing the DAILY BUGLE into my LEGO City

- The LEGO Daily Bugle is the tallest Marvel set LEGO has ever made! It towers over the other LEGO Modular sets in my LEGO City, which made finding the proper place for it very difficult. This was a giant set to build with nearly 4000 pieces and it stands just shy of 3 feet tall. Transporting the set from where it was built was also challenging because of how delicate the set is - if you look at it too closely, it may just fall apart.
That being said, this was my most anticipated LEGO set of 2021 - the Daily Bugle is a beautiful set and adding it to my LEGO City was so much fun! It is a centerpiece for sure! The size of it had me a bit worried, but I think I found a great home for it in my downtown area of the LEGO City!

Hi Emma, Really love your vlog. Like you, Im a lego fan also.. I suggest maybe try to put the daily bugle in between the two brick bank and two grand emporium..for sure it would be would be nice setup.. Just keep up the good work.. Your doing great..

Ninjago city helps smooth things out
I have mine in between ninjago city with one side facing the road and the other side going into the daily bugle alley, and on the other side I just have the corner garage. I highly recommend having ninjago city gardens on the left as a corner, and ninjago city facing into the daily bugle.
I might make a small video to show my city so maybe you could see but I’m not sure

The new placement looks great I just hope LEGO makes more sky scrapers so that the skyline looks better so that it isn’t imposing on the smaller buildings

The Daily Bugle is just perfect! It’s an actual Skyscraper that makes the set actually worth it with the extra stuff like the Buggy and the Taxi
It certainly takes a lot of attention away from the rest of the room haha which is not a bad thing!

This set is INSANE!!! I just finished bags 15, just have 16 to go, gonna save it for tomorrow cuz I’m too tired lol, but this set is HUGE!!! I have no idea where I’m going to put it. The only good place I have for it is already taken by Ninjago City, the Docks, & the Gardens. At least I have a three day weekend to figure it out!
A while ago, I got a 2nd Ultimate Bridge Battle set and I modded them a bit to make one full bridge and put it on some large base plates and built a display out of it for a massive battle, and this set will go great with it once I figure out how to lay everything out. I also used both the old and new Avengers towers and stacked them and modded them a bit too to make one giant Tower, and that’ll also fit in somewhere. I need more space! 😂

I'd love to see some of the police officers from the police station answer a call to disturbances taking place near the Daily Bugle. That could set up some really interesting scenarios.

The trick with placing the Daily Bugle is you want it to form the high point of a triangle, with your eyes being drawn upwards across the other buildings too it. And I know I am over simplifying what I mean. One of the simplest yet most effective tools of scene composition is to form a visual triangle this works for architecture, art, photography, etc. you want a scene that draws the eye in and up. Many of the Modulars themselves are designed to do this, with subtle triangles in their primary facades. The Town Hall, Fire Brigade and Police Station are the best examples, but others such as the Brick Bank do it as well. For all the Bugle’s Height, it’s not actually the tallest Modular type building. That honor goes to the Ninjago City Gardens, which beats it by a hair.

You can make it closed; the designer made sure to have all bricks needed to make the actual window there! There’s tutorials available.
I love the ferris wheel and all the streets. Lego is truly never ending.

I came up with an idea to have a sturdy base for the modulars. If the modular has a 32x32 baseplate then you need to take 4 of the BRICK 4/3, 16X16 W/ 4.85 HOLE plates and 4 16x16 medium stone grey plates and put them together with pegs to connect them. Then you just build the modular on top of the giant plate that you just made. Its the same size just more sturdy

Awesome set which I picked up yesterday. In my view your city needs some more skyscrapers to help balance this set out. An Avengers tower would be great too.

@@iamjoshuaiam yeah, it’s pretty good, the only problem is that it sometimes gets repetitive but thats it. Also you need to have like 10 hours of free time.
