    Nice one Izzy mate looking good mate 🙌🏻🙌🏻 it’s mental ain’t it how most of builders will say , oh you have to have a minimum of 150mm Bearing on lintels/steels etc but then when we put a big massive steel on it literally sits on 100mm bearing on the padston(100mmblockwork) 🤣 keep it up mate love your videos 💪💪🙌🏻🙌🏻

    PIR board would be better for cavity fill I’m sure in years to come a cavity without an air gap will have problems…just my opinion maybe not. If you have PIR board and an air gap in the cavity any damp will remain on the outer brick wall…bit like cavity wall insulation injected is now causing people to have damp problems…I worked on new builds and their spec was PIR board and cavity air gap..just more difficult to install

      We use PIR rigid cavity insulation and tape it on joints with foil tape. And miter the corners. Like the floor insulation.

    WTF why have you not used correct concrete padstones the weak point of using Eng bricks is the mortar a normal 215x100x440 concrete padstone is always the correct option FGS know your trade man, using Eng bricks is a cheap short cut.

    • @user-DANWALKER1066
      @user-DANWALKER1066 8 месяцев назад +1

      Engineering bricks like the ones he’s using are better than pad stones…these bricks here he’s using don’t crush like normal bricks! You can use a pad stone or engineering bricks…these ones are very heavy duty
