Jeff and Jeromy have both contributed their knowledge , garnered by decades of passionate inquiry , to the southwest U.S. cactus and succulent community. Hidden Agave Nursery is a must visit gem for the agave enthusiast. Jeff’s Solana Succulents Nursery is a terrific one stop shopping experience for c & s collectors visiting SoCal. It’s situated on the cool , balmy coast. His selection is eclectic, priced low and nice quality. I’ve purchased a number of plants from both nurseries....... and haven’t managed to kill one...... . . . . yet !

So true, Steve. San Diego County has more succulent specialty nurseries and experts than anywhere else in the world---including South Africa, where so many desirable varieties come from.

Do you agree that Jeremy's Hidden Agave Nursery is a succulent treasure in the hills of Escondido, CA? Fun fact: "Escondido" is Spanish for "hidden."

I swear it would be worth it for to move out of the southeast to have a garden like that.
I can grow everything here, but all my favorites have to come in for winter. With some agave that truly becomes a task.

I've seen potted agaves get too big to be brought indoors and then carried back out again. They're heavy, sharp-pointed and toothy. Good news---more and more dwarf agaves are coming on the market.
