- The 2023 Mountaineer final four finalists are here! Meet Christian, Braden, Bailey, and Mikel. These WVU students want to join a rich tradition of service, ambassadorship, and an insane amount of selfies and push-ups. They'll each be competing for the position Monday, Feb. 20 - turn up, be loud, and help pick our next Mountaineer!

WHYYYYYY
There has been multiple generations in my family that has went to WVU! It is a sad day for many fans, when the Mountaineer is no longer what is supposed to stand for!!! You need to take the politics out of it, and put the values back in!!
The Mountaineer values are service, curiosity, respect, accountability, and appreciation. These four candidates are perfect examples of these values and have shown themselves to be terrific ambassadors of the University and the state. They are all Mountaineers and would represent us well.
@@WestVirginiaU Well I am happy the school feels good with this ! And I believe they are good kids !! I will always stand behind the school in the athletic department as my family does as well!!! But politics should not be brought into picking a mountaineer! Remember fans are the ones buying the tickets !!!!!

@@WestVirginiaU no, my original question on the other was questioning why WVU only allows comments on Sports videos. The other channels blocks all comments from even being placed in the first place. I just fond it ironic the a Land Grant university likes to control speech on their videos.
