Whoa! Good u’ve found the right one. The Original buko pie is the best buko pie found in Laguna..how i suddenly miss my hometown.. thanks guys for liking our buko pie.. try to visit Laguna as well on ur future trips.. San Pablo City has seven lakes and Pagsanjan has falls.. enjoy guys and keep loving our country..🤗☺️
I love it when you guys collected souvenir stuffs recently everytime you go visit places in philippines. You can't help it for sure. I hoard original buko pie whenever I pay visit Laguna. LOL
Welcome to our province, quite frankly , I grew up knowing that Laguna has the original, delicious buko pies, and espasol, then when you go to my other province where my dad came from, Quezon. The best "budin" or cassava cake and yema cake is from. Enjoyed much of your buko pie 🇵🇭😍❤☝️✌🏻🤟😉
May I just suggest. If you love the buko pie, you guys should try egg pie. Particularly, Goldilocks' egg pie. We love it more than the original buko pie. Well most people I know at least. Love your channel, as always 😀. More power guys! 😀💕😊
Wow,i love that buko pie!..will try one in my next vacation to the Philippines..watching here from Arizona,USA.Thanks for this vlog George and Lucy!.Take care guys.
Love buko pie! Yes you can freeze it and re-heat in your toaster oven. At least that’s how I’m able to buy it here in the U.S. Hopefully next year I can try the fresh ones. ❤️
Hi George and Lucy you guys are the best! I miss the Philippines now that you featured the original buko pie! Laguna is my hometown I also recommend pastillas for you to try it's really good! More power!
I am from Laguna and I prefer the Letty's brand it is still tasty even if it got cold, you can also buy a frozen version and microwave it when you get back to your apartment
I also stack my eggs like that. The plastic wrapping will preserve some veggies a few more days than those without. I thought you topped the pie with nutella before you said dark choco, but that would be yummy too.
that is legit... the original ORIENT THE ORIGINAL Buko Pie... but that store is their Silang tagaytay branch.... the main store is in Los Baños Laguna.... but just the same its the original one
Im from mindanao and currently working in oman everytime i always thinking to eat buko pie from laguna soon ill get back in the Philippines!!! Misses Philippines delicacies.
I’m glad that you enjoyed The Original Buko Pie. The family of my friend owns it. They put up the original store in front of their house along the highway in Loa Baños , Laguna. During the summer in the early 80’s, I would stay at their house and we would always have the buko pie for snacks. Back then, it only costs us around P35.00. They haven’t changed their recipe since then. Until today, we, former students of UPLB still crave for The Original Buko Pie. Thanks, Juicy Blog for your wonderful review 🙂
You should visit towns in Laguna like: Pagsanjan for Pagsanjan Falls and restos Lusiana for Lusiana Falls (Hulugan Falls, Aliw Falls, Talay Falls, Hidden Falls) and Pandan Crafts Paete for Wood Crafts and Woodcarving Majayjay for Taytay Falls and Bukal Falls Magdalena for Church and White Water Rafting Liliw for shopping and Resto (specifically Arabela resto) also it's known as The "Tsinelas"(Slippers/Flip Flops) Capital of the Philippines Caliraya for man made lake these towns are near at each other.
MERRY CHRISTMAS George and Lucy. MALIGAYANG PASKO! Actually, the Christmas season in the Philippines doesn't end after December 25 or even after the new year. It ends on the Feast of the Three Kings which is the first Sunday of January. =) For your Christmas decors, aside from all the malls in Metro Manila, you can also try very cheap yet great items at the vicinity of SUKI MART in Dapitan, Sampaloc, Manila. Also, I hope you will experience the Simbang Gabi (Dawn Masses) which starts December 16 up to December 24 at 4AM. Most churches have it at 4AM, some at 4:30AM. Then after the Mass, eat Puto Bumbong, Bibingka, and hot tea. For your Noche Buena feast (December 24 crossing over to midnight of the 25th), you might want to try the traditional Filipino menu: Fiesta Ham, home-made Hot Choco, fruit salad, Keso de Bola, morcon, hamonado, embotido, and a lot more. But usually, there is more food on the table during December 31 (Medya Noche) as we all wait for the count down of the new year. Most Filipinos observe round fruits and food on the table. Specifically, 12 different round fruits to make sure you will have abundance in the 12 months of the coming year. By the way, expect the traffic getting heavier as Christmas day approaches because there will be a lot of sale in all the malls plus parties are everywhere. By the way, I saw in one of the vlogs of Making It Happen, Mike recently had a sore throat right? Usually one gets it when you move in abruptly from a cold place to a warm or hot place or vice versa. So i suggest, before entering a cold place, if you came from a hot place, to cool down a bit under a covered open area, then after about 5 minutes, enter the airconditioned area. If you already have a sore throat, one of the natural home remedies we Filipinos do is to gargle a warm cup of water mixed with rock salt. Use about a teaspoon of rock salt, dilute it in cup of warm water then gargle each sip until you finish the cup. =) You can do this 3 times a day until you feel better. Also, avoid sweets while you still have the soar throat. =)
Hey guys.. if you go further to Los Banos Laguna, you will see other shows going on there right now.. They have Banamos Frstival in there. Finish this weekend i think.
Try checking S & R there in BGC, it is membership shopping for P800 per head for a principal member. That is one of your options where you can buy your food and even houseware items.
Oh, gawd, I haven't had buko pie in *_F O R E V E R_* ! Now I'm craving it, but it's 1am and I live far from a buko pie store! I need to schedule a trip to Los Banos ASAP! 😭
The shop you stopped at is a branch of the Original Buko Pie store in Los Baños, Laguna. Yup, they're serving the same authentic buko pie as the main store. 👍
Piece of advice (coz I'm from the south) try to use the Skyway or C5 road as much as possible. If you're in or going to Makati use the Don Bosco (Amorsolo) ramp. But if you're going straight to BGC or coming from BGC use the C5 ramp. The entry/exit point is near SM Aura. Avoid EDSA especially the BER months.
A Vlog timer, hahaha Nice, that Pie looks so good Wow. I Love buko pie, but that one looks amazing and chocolat on top would be so cool :-) great road trip guy's.
