In the process of 'rediscovering' my childhood in the early 1960's, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Car 54 holds up better than some other shows of the time. (Don't ask me why, but I remembered the entire theme song, word for word. Why can't I balance my checkbook?) Sure, the plots are unadulterated vanilla, but when the cast is as talented as this one---even the guest/supporting players are real pro's---you can still get some genuine laughs. Thanks for posting these, Pippykins !
I've been looking for this episode for quite some time now. To me the viewing of it brought back good memories of my folks and I watching it for the first time together. Also, I just noticed and recognized a person from my past! The portly actor who portrayed the inspector in this episode was none other than "Mr.Checkers" from The Checkers and Pogo show! When I was a kid growing up in Hawaii(1968-72)I was on that show with many of my local friends numerous times.Good Times! Keep it up!
According to her biography, Margaret Hamilton was one of the kindest, gentlest actors in Hollywood. Her portrayal of the Wicked Witch of the West was completely against her real nature, which made it even more amazing.

Lol wish that I could get drunk like Charlie just by pretending to down shots "whoom... whoom" 😋🤪
