Getting this for my Christmas along with SnapDragon. It sucks there was no Takara two-pack released with a better white plastic and without that "dirty" camo paint job.
I don’t know if I want to get Apeface, but I do want the Transformers Siege 35th Anniversary Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bluestreak, & Soundblaster. I also want to get Spinister, Barricade, and Astrotrain.
Was excited about this figure hitting the line. The White is nasty period. the ball was dropped here. They took a couple steps back on Apeface. How that shade got to production is beyond me.
This is really not an easy Transformer, I think they should have reworked the transformation process so parts don't come apart so easily, but the robot mode is definitely the best looking, so it's not a total failure, but it's a Triple Changer, they're not easy to recreate unless they look like a brick! That Apeface toy look awesome his Headmaster dude look awesome and yes the Targetmaster goes there too I really don't like the name Battle master it's doesn't fit for me I just call them Targetmaster because G1 and I feel like one person will say why not senson 4 intro of Transformers G1 oh boy. The Headmaster theme song intro fit perfect for the review thank you for the video.
I still own both G1 Horrorcons. 2 really good figures. Snapdragon is one of my favourite G1 figures. Got to be in earth rise based on the fact that his jet mode is a decent Blackbird (but white). The odd white plastic is reminiscent of the originals. Both were off-white.
Thank you so much for making these videos without them i would not be able to transform some of mine today! And some of the videos inspired me to get transformers to make videos one day!
I own what's left of a very old G1 "junker" Apeface so naturally I'm going to get this guy no matter what?! There's been so much negativity and alot of controversy over this guy because he is the very last line of the SIEGE line and there are rumours that he might of been a unused Titans Return mold as well, makes sense with that Tarn-like head of his which I've saved for this guy...Apeface is a speciality figure and not for everyday fans I feel, a real cliche niche figure that goes for fans of the guy...Not enough to put me off the guy but I'm well aware of his issues and you to get a feel for him. Great review.
I'm really tempted to get this guy because I got Snapdragon, and that figure is great, has it's flaws, but it's still a solid figure that it doesn't bother me. But I swear Apeface looks interesting, but it just doesn't look worth it. I feel like if it was given to me from someone, then I wouldn't have an issue having it, but I probably wouldn't buy it myself.
I loved my apeface toy as a kid, mine was error in the packaging so my g1 apeface had 2 guns. By the way the with on the original sucked also and it got yellowed so soon it saw the sun for a minute. My old G1 is more yellow brown then white now days.
The transformation was a bit tricky for me....I haven't been able to get him in jet mode properly....the tabs will not stay in place. I have a question.....is it due to filming that your version looks more blue than purple?...my Apeface has a dark purple where yours is more of a navy blue paint, if that makes sense....
I learned about transfoemers since victory so i never got to see headmasters but i have always lived apeface design since i first saw and image of it, i even like the g1 figure, and its not nostalgia

Robot mode looks pretty cool. The other two tho... Blah. I'm pretty much on the hate side of this guy but I'll probably get him just because I have all the other Siege figures, and the Decepticons are seriously lacking.
I use to have g1 Apeface as a kid and wouldn't mind a new one as I liked it. But if there was a choice to have a G1 re-release and this id still go for the G1 original. Thats how bad this Siege Apeface is.
