Bears fan since '84, from the UK and I can see Caleb is going to be the man. I liked Mitch, but he's not a NFL starter. Loved Justin, but just not accurate enough and poor decision making! Caleb is definately going to be the guy. If... We get a line that can pass pro better and not get put on their backsides! If we can run block so they get their own feet two yards down hill so the ball carrier isnt hit at the LOS , but perhaps after at least 2 yards! And if we can get a defensive line that can stop the run and get pressure up the middle. 2025 draft, the first four picks need to be in the trenches and it needs an upgrade each and every year. Go Bears!

Your right about JF1 accuracy problem. So how does a qb that is one of the most accurate qbs coming out of college go to being inaccurate as heck. Well know it all Fluss and Gettsy change his footwork to that of Rodgers. Opposite foot forward and bam he is inaccurate. Pittsbugh gets JF1 and first thing they do is change his footwork back to college days as well as his throwing motion which Nagy worked on but Poles told Getsy to change it to back to college day where Justin also played baseball as a shortstop. Pitt has taken almost a half a sec from throwing motion. Watch where ever JF is next year you'll see what Pitt has changed. So Chicago ruin JF just as they are CW

The RB is open, but Caleb isn't, he is already scrambling because of the center breakdown right in front of him. You could see after his dropback, he could barely make a read because everyone was together, the Swift popped o ut but immediately Caleb started to scramble because the defender just for loose in front of him. You have to remember, the first read isn't the RB. Don't forget guys, you are watching this in slow motion, at full speed, there is no time or space to throw to Swift.

@@yuhbtw He was blaming either the play concept, or one/two of the WRs made the wrong play. I would play them too. When these plays are designed, the have a planned progression. You wanted Caleb to dump the ball, which is okay. The issue is that the RB is probably option 3 or 4 in the progression. The way the play was ran, all the WRs were bunched up, which makes it had to follow a progression, by the time you make up your mind to abandon the play and dump off, you are being sacked. We have too many plays where when the QB drops back, no WR is open. That is a problem.

    • @yuhbtw

We are way ahead to break the sacks allowed record.
With the way the OL is playing and receivers not getting open why do the offense is pass driven. 17 Rush attempts for RBs and about 60yds. DeAndre Swift is not an every down back in this offense. IF we had the OL he should.
Ok so I've been following Chase D for a while, I also leaned a lot. And I will keep scratching my head because Chase for a couple of years said it, Justin Fields was not to blame, he actually "masked" or covered the terrible OPL playing by running the ball. But heck they decided QB(again), and WR instead of getting great OL, on a draft that had a ton a great OLs that went on the first 2 rounds.

The Bears now rank 31st in first half scoring this year. Only the NY Giants are worse.
Justin Fields and Caleb Williams have the same amount of wins, despite Fields only starting 6 games.
    And Caleb ranks:
    29th in CMP%
    30th in AVG
    23rd in YDS/G
    1st in Sacks
    1st in SYL
    30th in QBR
    23rd in Rating
So much for improved weapons if he can't utilize them.
Should've kept Fields, traded the pick for a haul, drafted a premium defensive lineman, drafted a legit Center and RG, and utilized the rest for depth at quality positions.

Just now you dare not say anything because they got their saviour ( per the media) on Chicago analyst said they are " chasing greatness with the 2024 draft. What do you think? In 2021 Fields was the saviour a very accurate qb at OSU. well but the Bears in 2021 said he wouldn't play he would just learn how to call the plays JF made an appearance in the first game and scored. Next game fans chanting for Fields while Dalton was play so Nagy had to start Fields cuz Red got hurt. New GM new Coach change JF footwork to that of Aaron Rodgers for 2022 season JF accuracy went in tank 2023 JF complained about the footwork wasn't working for him finally when he came back from injury they let him change fw but nit improved throwing motion. In 24 JF goes to Pitt and first thing they tell him your footwork is whatever your comfortable with they ( tomlin) took almost 1/2 sec off throw motion JF throws for 312 against Indy. How many 300 yard games in Chi none. Coaching matters and now they are hurting CW

Analyzing the McCaskeys' ownership of the Bears reveals a series of missteps. Their tenure has been characterized by a focus on profits over team performance, resulting in a lack of football expertise and poor decision-making in coaching hires and organizational vision. This has led to a cycle of mediocrity and questions about the family's commitment to football excellence. You got to be paid off or why else would you ignore the truth?

I have a serious question for you because I know you are smarter but continue to be unable to offer criticism to Bears quarterbacks. You were down on their scheme last year (it is the OC's fault) but when the had the undrafted QB2 under center the pre-snap reads and adjustments were made properly, and the ball came out quickly, and the offense looked like an NFL offense. This year you have a quarterback who can't make the proper reads and adjustment calls and the offense looks bad. WILL YOU EVER JUST SAY THAT CALEB OR JUSTIN OR ANY QB CAN MAKE A GOOD OFFENSE LOOK BAD BY NOT HAVING ENOUGH EXPERIENCE OR FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE TO MAKE PROPER PRE-SNAP ADJUSTMENTS. You are losing credibility with the nauseating protection of not good quarterbacks. Looking at film post snap is about 60% of real analysis. You are better than this - stop sucking at what you do.

The Bears are at an all time low at the moment. It's hard to bear. Poles has made some roster mistakes and we're feeling it. He shouldn't have got Allen or Swift. They aren't doing it. It's obvious Poles should have focused on the o-line and a big time RB. Though the offense scheme would have hurt us anyway. It's so frustrating right now that we "CANNOT GO WITH A FIRST TIME HEAD COACH." We need to hire a coach that's smarter than everyone in the Chicago Bears organization. Jon Gruden, Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick are the type of HCs we need. I know Chicago won't get any of them because ownership screws everything up with their feelings on what they want this team to look like. We could have had Jim Harbaugh for CRYING OUT LOUD! And they let Kevin Warren screw that up. Like why did you hire him? I'm 47 years old and grew up in northern IL. Love football but I don't love the Bears anymore. The organization is supposed to mean something to the fan base but it means nothing. McCaskey's....listen to your family and CASH OUT!!! SELL THE TEAM!!! We want you out! Sell it to Jeff Bezos.
