We visited Port Townsend a few years ago on our Scooter but only had a few hours to spend. We both really loved the feel of the place. Reminded me of Nelson British Columbia... we plan to go back once the borders open up again. The video doesn't do it justice from what I can remember... stay well everyone.
Too bad so much time was wasted in Port Townsend driving around parked RVs when you could have driven around upper Port Townsend and enjoyed the historic post office, the most incredible government building and countless Victorian homes. If you go to Port Angeles, be sure to drive on The Hook jetty for the sunset and spectacular views of Olympic National Park, and it's just a short drive up to Salt Creek/Crescent Beach where you can enjoy sea stacks and incredible sunsets. Between Port Townsend and Port Angeles is Sequim with lavender farms to enjoy come summertime. It's such a beautiful area to enjoy!
It really depends on many factors. Vehicle length and height, number of people, which direction, time of year, etc. The Washington State Ferry website has the ability to calculate the fees depending upon your input. They are not cheap, but driving around to the peninsula isn't either.
@@oldstersoutside674 The Washington State ferries actually are cheap. Try taking a car on the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. It's more than ten times as much. The car plus driver rate here isn't much more that the walk-on rate for similar ferries in other parts of the US or other parts of the world. The standard Vehicle & Driver fare is $15.75 for cars 14′ to under 22′. The regular fare for walk-on passengers is $8.65 Senior/Student fare is $4.30.
Your video gave the illusion that PtTownsend and PtAngeles were right next to each other.

Yes. About a dozen movies have been shot here.

@@BobZed so true. The gas and time they save are well worth it. Plus, you get beautiful scenery.
I didn't see Port Angeles.
It starts at 16:04. Just a short part of the video. Thank you for watching and commenting.
