- Jackfrags said this Easter egg was the most elaborate, but I don't think it even touches the Phantom set of assignments and Easter Eggs. The DICE LA camo can be unlocked by one person rather quickly as long as you can find a good server to do it in. For the most part all servers made for this purpose either have active admins, good instructions, helpful players or are empty.
UPDATE: Servers to do this in are now getting dodgy. You either have to search outside your region, which is totally ok because ping in this case is meaningless, or you will have to rent a server yourself. If you go into one of the few servers out there for this, there's a chance they aren't reset, which will alter the whole process and not get you the result you seek, or there will be people who might accidentally or purposefully screw up the process for you. This is so old, i'm no longer helping out players unlock this, so you are on your own.
Code for first keypad (enter only after solving switch puzzle): 839 80 800000
The tool I'm using is Light Calculator, found on Reddit. I downloaded the .zip file and the post tells you where the actual .exe file is located.
UPDATE: People have reported difficulty using this and other apps. Apps also keep coming and going or getting updates which might alter their use from how it's shown in this video, and it would be too much for me to continuously check which apps are alive, or how the updates affect the process, so again, you may be on your own now.

hello, i have tried several '' light calculators '' for the la camo but every time i finished the 7 switches (every) calculator gives an error message or just doesnt work. Anyone knows what i am doing wrong? thx in advance, regards,
well one step I kept forgetting was to press the button again after checking which lights turned on, maybe you are doing the same? or maybe you didnt input the initial position of the lights into the calculator? (before pressing any buttons). its hard to tell what you are doing wrong without you telling your steps
I did it without an app, just made an excel sheet/chart which tracks which switches activate which lamps, and then just work out which switches need to be on together

The Morse Tools settings that worked for me best was a very high threshold to avoid the camera adjustment registering as a dot or dash, with the camera right on the screen. Thanks for the tutorial!
I don't know how to express my satisfaction that thanks to your film I was able to get this camouflage. I thought I would need some colleagues to do. And it turned out that I did it myself in 30 minutes. The worst thing was to decode the walrus code, but I also dealt with it. Thank you, your episode is amazing. 😀😎

Took Me half an hour and three attack choppers but i made it.

Thanks, i got the camo.
I had some trouble because I didn`t hear the sound, so I thought it didnt work.
Then I was gonna try to type it again and I had no option to click on the tower button, which drove me crazy.
After restart, i still didn`t have the camo, and I thought it glitched, so I did all the job again, and couldn`t type in the first code lol.
After that I checked again for the camo and it was here.
It took a while to appear, even though the previous match was ended.
Just to let u guys know it may glitch and take some time to appear, but it really works.

That happened to me as well. I did hear the sound so I knew for sure I got everything right, but it took a match or two for the camo to become available.

Nice video mate. I did this with a couple of buddies so I didn´t need the MAV which is brilliant. I also noticed we are in the same platoon, BFFs. I liked and subbed.

yeah it took me almost an hour to get the app to read the lantern, but I also made sure I moved a little bit every few minutes

This may sound like a stupid question, haw do you know the server is unranked? and does this Easter egg still?exist?
Humbler32 As far as I know, this still exists. As for how you know, I'm not sure once you are in the server, but before joining, you have to use the server browser and tick unranked and untick ranked, that way all of the servers it will find will be unranked for sure.

The iOS version of the app works very well, although the camera is inverted for some reason... but once you get the camera on the light, just hold it there and press play until it translates the code. It's pretty simple.
Thank you, It works. I tried it with another video but didn't worked for me. I just wanna mention that if you have a crappy phone with a crappy camera, just turn down you monitor's brightness/contrast and the morse apps will work pretty well.

So I finally got the camo last night so here’s my take on it. I used the calculator and at the end it said something like “no solution found” so I got angry cut the long story short I just went around pressing random switches until I couldn’t press them anymore YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE ALL THE LANTERNS ON just press whatever until the keypad shows up and that’s it. I had on maybe 18 or 17 lanterns on when I did it. I have a theory that none of it matters and you can just go around pressing random switches until the keypad shows up. Anyway thanks for the video it helped a lot
Michael I've heard weird reports saying the puzzle was solved with some lights not being on. I've never seen video evidence but if true, that's good for you.

just followed this guess instructions to a T! worked perfectly! only issue was the morse coke app didn't work so used a different one (morse code agent) but light calculator worked amazingly! thanks for making a perfect tutorial :)
Whatever you can make work. At first it was easy with the app I used, but for whatever reason, the more I used it, the more inaccurate it became...

If the app you are using (probably BF4 lantern solver) isnt translating the morse code i suggest plain recording it for 5 minutes, put the mp4 file on your PC, and slowing it down to 50% with VLC player, try it again. FPS is usually higher and it makes a *very* noticeable difference. I suggest doing the process a few times just to make sure it reads the code correctly.
dude, you rock. I never thought I would even attempt this until I saw your video. I say the switches took me maybe an hour because I had to find them for the first time and also my heli skills were not as good as I thought, so had to swim over to ride some jet skis or back to home base to get another chopper. The morse talk app took me some time to figure it out, maybe another hour, but sure enough that worked as well. Joined a ranked match and went to the water tower to punch in the code! If I wanted to help my friends out on this, could I do the dirty work of finding and activating all the switches, then once the keypad comes up, are they the one to punch it in? Don't mean to be rude or anything but I'm not a fan of the camo but I do respect people who like it
A lot of people weren't a fan of the camo, mostly because it was op, but if eventually got nerfed. The actual design of the camo... It's alright I guess, but people went through the process just to show they could.
So it took me about a week to get this right but this dude was able to do it in a few minutes?

your code will always be the same so keep the one you have...probably just missing a number or have one number wrong BUT again your code will not change when you redo it.

+Lukis Milenar --- :.( Yeah, that is one thing I forgot to mention: Unless the server you use has a smart admin that:
1) Set a high player count to start match
2) Set a high ticket count and infinite or max timer on round
3) Is active and kicks players to keep the round from restarting.
I'd just try to look for the emptiest server, maybe even one where you'd have high ping, because that won't matter for this purpose and people are likely to stay away from it.
But to answer your question: Yes, you can try again. Even after successful, you can do it as many times as you want in a fresh round.

Hmm... I'm curious about what you mean. Once you solve the puzzle, the buttons disappear, which is one way you know you did everything right so far.

So after that happens, did you go to the location of the keypad in the temple to see if it appeared? If so, you only need to put in the first code "839 80 800000" and the lamp should start spitting out your message+personalized code.

You have not used it in the video and i got no idea what is the "one button"?
they are auto filled when you run the program...ignore them,. All you have to do is first notate the default light when the game starts the cycle each switch and input what light are on...after you get to rock run the program......DONT FORGET TO TURN THE SWITCHES BACK OFF after you read what lights are on. Good LuckFYI I have used the program to get about 40 codes...it does fail from time to time and I do not know why. Good luck bro.

It means the light number 2,12,20 is only been controlled by one button, not like the light number 10 for example, the light number 10 is controlled by the button at tree,furnace,pier. Other light than 2,12,20 is controlled by 2 and more buttons

+TheSsshitster2024 ---- I hope you figured it out. I think if you are putting your phone against the monitor like I did, then copy my settings: Threshold a level above middle, and dot width three steps wider than the thinnest possible. Change each one just a bit if that doesn't work.
started at 1:11am its 3:04am and I'm still not finished had to type everything in twice and it still does not work the problem lies with the light calculator it will not solve it for me after triple checking my numbers I'm debating whether or not to just call it quits

i got the keypad to appear after finding the buttons etc. had the right combi; tree pagota and rock, so i went back to the pad and put in the long code thingy, and it still played the clue thingy as you said in your video at around 18min... so i left the server and gotta do it all over again... but how do i make the lantern switch from clue morse to personalcodemorse?
I've been doing the lights for half a day now and it always keep going wrong somehow. Until I reach the last couple switches, everything is fine, but then, despite my meticulous double checking and making sure I reset the lights to default after every check, I eventually find that a few extra lights are suddenly on, and the end result is always the same - the default lights are off once every other is on. What am I doing wrong? Why does this keep happening? Highly annoying...

Thanks for the video. However your suggested morse reader is terrible (android). App called Morse Decoder decodes it absolutely perfectly and you don't have to fiddle with threshold etc. It gave me 9 number code which worked instantly and your app kept missing 2 numbers and giving 1 wrong.
You know, when I first used the app it was working perfectly, and the last few times I had to use it, it sucked at reading the code accurately. Not sure if I started sucking at using it or what, but I'm glad you found a better alternative.
