Absolutely love mine. I’ve done 180,000 miles in it - totally hammered it and it just keeps on going. Replaced a cam belt (Skoda recommend change every 30K - but VW say every 100K for the UP for same engine?) brakes, and leaky water pump at 30K, apart from that I’ve barely spent a penny on it. I hire a fair few higher-end cars for work, but it’s always a joy to be back in the Skoda - it’s clunky and noisy, but it’s non-nonsense, nippy and you feel really connected to the driving experience.

I bought one of these to help my kids learn to drive. I use it now for all my short journeys. I love it.

I have a 2016 1.0 MPI (75PS) SEL Green Tech Skoda Citigo three door which I've had from new.
The car is an absolute pleasure to drive in any weather, has been 100% reliable and positively sips fuel.
The heated seats are nice for people with back, hip or leg injuries, as a bout of localised heat can make for a better day.
Passengers have reported being comfortable, even in the back seat on a long drive, and I find it to be supportive and comfortable.
This was the first car I've had from new, and getting to choose the colour and interior spec' was a new experience for me!
In many ways driving my Citigo is reminiscent of being in my Mini City 850, Mini Metro or Bond Bug 700ES in that its such great fun to pootle about in.
I have no intention of getting rid of it, even after buying a Ford Transit Custom to make into a camper.
I would heartily recommend this model as its been everything I want in a car and it remains such a pleasure to drive, even to the supermarket...

These are a brilliant buy secondhand. Because they are mechanically simple there is little to go wrong. Best value is the Mii SE/Toca. Larger wheels and lowered suspension spoil the ride on some variants. Avoid the auto. Useful options are the second boot floor, the Infotainment system and spare wheel.

My Citigo cruises happily at 80mph - no problem. Performance is amazingly good for a 60bhp unit if the gears are used as they should be. Handling and feeling of connection is especially impressive and hopefully the car will remain free of major problems for some years to come.

My 2015 Citigo won't go into 1st or reverse gear when cold and is reluctant even when warm. [I believe the cause is that these cars have weak clutch diaphragm springs which can break.]
Also, the rear suspension squeaks over bumps. Radio reception is terrible for some reason too.
Other than that, I like it.

@@jesper164a not at all I have got a hyundai i10 now and much much happier and nicer to drive than the Skoda citigo plus you get extra with the Hyundai i10. I hated the Skoda citigo. Plus the windows used to steam up every timed it rain even with the air conditioner on. Plus it was one cold 🥶 car 🚘 very uncomfortable to sit in. Plus you could feel every bump you went over with the Skoda citigo and it was sluggish with even the turbo very sluggish. You couldn’t over take anything very quickly. Sometimes you need the acceleration to get passed long lorries. The Skoda never come with extra like the Hyundai i10. Plus why did they stop making the Skoda citigo. Business mistake by Volkswagen was it. Why has the Skoda citigo got its blower in the middle off the dashboard? Steer wheel was very uncomfortable to hold. Some times I am over 60mph with not knowing it with the hyundai i10. I was frightened to take the Skoda citigo over 40mph always felt like it was going to roll over on to its roof. Hated motorway driving with the Skoda citigo. ( I have driven cars vans lorries and I have to say the Skoda citigo was one the worst driving experience I ever had as a driver. I was actually pleased to see the back it. Some times it made squeaking and squealing noises when you got into the Skoda citigo and was never confident in the Skoda citigo ) if I have confidence in the car and the car has got confidence in me I have confidence in the car like the Hyundai i10 ( couldn’t say that about the Skoda citigo that I had confidence in the car it was just a total nightmare to drive ) So do you want me to go on? ( That’s right switch my comments off ) yes did I forget to mention when you open the back windows on a hot day that the windows 🪟 swing out and it obstructs your view from the door mirror 🪞 did I forget to mention that I think I did. ( I NOTICED YOU HAVE STOPPED ME FROM COMMENTING ON HERE ) ( My advice buy the hyundai i10 far better dash board and far better car and don’t let them tell you they are using the same inside I have been inside both them the Skoda citigo and the Hyundai i10 better acceleration on the Hyundai i10 a much better car for your money people. Volkswagen are still playing on the name from the 1980s and 1990s it’s time Volkswagen got there finger out there backside again and gave youngster and young people a far better car and extra for the money 💰 people are paying and not a 1980s Ford fiesta mark II car from the 1980s are you listening 👂WHERE IS MY HIGHLIGHT REPLY WHEN YOU DON’T WANT TO HEAR 👂 WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR 👂?

Keep clear them people they are a death trap. Do yourself a favour buying something else safety record is good that because they all stop working after a certain mileage.
