- i'll have my thoughts and discussion and what not on pantheon in the coming days, but for now, as i've been doing with new content, here's my team's first clear of Pantheon, week 1. i'll be uploading all weeks assuming there is some interesting stuff. week 4 will definitely be uploaded.

i asked my chat this (live now btw www.twitch.tv/Datto) but someone asked if i was gonna make a full guide on the pantheon raid bosses and i said that i have guides already. but, as a joke, i suggested that i literally just rip the guides verbatim from the old raid guides and drop them into a video with the new changes to the fights. any desire for this or should i just stick to telling people what the changes are and then going from there, with links and resources and stuff?
I think it'd be really funny to cut from old Datto to new Datto and vice versa.

Adept weapon drops are the best incentive to play this mode
Especially if you have all the exotics
The modes clearly a catch up mode for players that dont have all the raid exotics yet
Plus the godslayer title
Plus red borders if you don’t have them all. Idk if it’s guaranteed but I got 1 on every encounter.

I ran an LFG of it earlier today, and as long as everyone has a mic (and knew how to raid and do each encounter) it's not that difficult

@@theredgamer211see that’s the problem, people saying they know how but they don’t. If you’re going to LFG into something like this please at least tell people you don’t know the encounter first
A lot of people will take the five minutes it takes to explain it. And if you’re a half decent Destiny player you’ll be fine in support roles. Just say you don’t know. It’s far better than lying.

Not this first one, second one should be alright too, the 3rd and 4th ones (essentially getting up to contest mode) are going to be hellish.
Pantheon was super fun. Did 2 sherpa runs and it was fun seeing the little twists. An ogre here, buffed up the knight there, fire tornadoes, and tormentors everywhere. So much loot too, one adept per encounter, plus two from the triumphs, plus the emblem and 2 or so raid drops per encounter.
Do you know if it has checkpoints?
@@charleywilson2146 It does but some people report bugs about not being able to complete pantheon from a checkpoint.
@Shloop-cw9lf they’ll be back in a couple of days though when the issue gets fixed
I only got an adept from Atraks :(
The fact that alll of those encounters are coincidently soloable shows something interesting about bungies intentions with pantheon (solo flawless pantheon race pog)

All of roots encounters are very straight forward. Vow I struggled with for a bit.

@@TheJandRReptiles every raid is super easy to learn and do, ppl are just too lazy to learn and actually try something other than ad clear. also the guides datto gives are more than perfect lol
@shariqarain nothings perfect. And I didn't say they weren't. But I raided a lot in D1 and I ran RoN nearly everyday helping new people. But some people aren't great with PVE stuff. Sometimes they struggle with the mechanics and ad clear.
Teaching people how to handle the pressure isn't easy and can't just be communicated.
The hit the griddy callout is the difference maker

@@CheezyTimeI promise once you know the encounters it’s such an easy raid. The symbols are intimidating but that’s about it.
My copium tank is overflowing but imagine this is how we got old raid encounters back, plus why is this a limited time game mode it’s so dope. All boss encounters it’s the raid we wanted.

You wont have an issue. Lfgs arent that bad and everyone knows these encounters just fine
It's the same encounters, but they're slightly altered. I think they're the same mechanically if that helps.

@@razor5694 i can only speak from my experience but iv used lfgs since d1 vanilla, your right though some are hit and miss but in my experience most of them are solid. If you get some red flags early though you gotta dip and find a new team haha

This looks interesting, my issue is i've never done most of this and only want conditional from it, so i don't think i'll get it, i like the concept none the less however
Very curious to see engagement numbers across different accounts for this because it looks like yet another mode that nobody can get into
the fact that nobody said anything about Datto randomly saying stuff like "my worm hungers"
my team got hung up on planets a bit for some reason but other than that this wasn't too bad for the first week, it'll be interesting to see how much tougher things get as it progresses.

@@lordpumpkinhead265plus he doesn’t have the health powercreep that some Vow bosses have, and everyone that’s doing Pantheon should have Leviathans Breath, which is essentially the best precision dps in the game right now.
Whisper of the Worm is also top tier for him.

That sounds like a terrible pickup line.
The only thing I hate about hard mode is it shows that Bungie totally could add fun hard modes, and that they don’t need to make the hard mode first and then strip mechanics for normal mode. All the pantheon changes so far would be awesome optional hard modes.

A raid boss rush with good rewards from the encounters involved this looks really good and seems fairly rewarding for the time to complete
The 1 encounter I may dread is riven cause idk if we can still cheese that fight or not due to how pantheon works cause I don’t know anyone that does riven legit regularly
my clan does riven legit exclusively, it’s really not hard
Me joining lfgs and at planets and they’re 2 hours into the run is an eye opening experience
Why doesn't Datto use finishers & grapples to get his warbanner up higher, or just kill things? He's shooting everything with an arc lmg? During a 25% void buff?
I have every raid seal but I literally don't remember how to do any of these fights. Can't wait for our pantheon run later tonight
golgy was kinda buggy for my team and we were just generally being a little stupid so it took us longer than we wanted it to, but the mode is really fun!! :D

They're good, but not required. Crafted weapons are stronger than Adepts, but you can flex Adepts.
If you ever want a Vow Sherpa, hit me up. Our squad does it all the time and loves teaching runs. 🍻 It's not nearly as hard as everyone likes to pretend. Lol
@@lordpumpkinhead265an adept with the same roll as a crafted is actually slightly stronger because of adept mods, you can also get enhanced perks on adept weapons now by upgrading it

None of the hardcore raid guys will need any of the loot, it’s great for the rest of the community though, just a fun casual event, great to see bungie being creative with playlists lately its very promising
Wonder if “rest of community” will be able to get groups, successfully complete this with LFG, do it in reasonable times.
I think many will fail and give up on raiding . Again. My groups always do this, hyped for new loot, realize raid too hard, quit playing. Lol.

Atraks is incredibly easy to do with the basic lfg strat of just pumping the boss full of so much dps before she can do anything

what is the class warfare buff?
Using class abilities buffs you and your fireteams damage in about a 20m radius for 15 seconds and it stacks up to x3, it also give you damage reduction but I don’t know the specific numbers but it is decently sizeable

If only there was someone kind enough to carry me through Pantheon. I know the mechanics on every encounter, I've played every raid but all my friends are too busy for me nad lfg is crap. Today I got decent enough to finish Golgoroth but we couldn't get anyone to fill in blanks for Caretaker after some of us left. Please help me!

The biggest thing for me is if when we get to the last week is Riven going to be patched because literally 5 people know how to do it legit and at -20 it’s gonna be a rough way to learn it
honestly, Riven legit isn't bad, it's just tedious and takes coordination. Although, asking pubs or LFG to be able to do that is near impossible. Tree/rock/stairs is harder imo
Maybe we can choose the lowest difficulty of -5 during the last week.
I promise that Riven legit is less complex than you think, people have just hyped it up for so long as the most complicated raid encounter so everybody’s scared to do it. I’d honestly say that it’s less complicated than the Vault encounter. I would recommend learning it and doing a run over the next week or two though, so you can get it down before you’re stuck at content power levels
riven legit is easy, people cheese it because they’re lazy and don’t want to play the game yet still feel entitled to the rewards. it’s simpler than vault but people still hype it up as the most complicated encounter in the game for some reason

LFG run? The first 2 encounters go by pretty quick, start to struggle a little in 3rd, people baby rage in 4th because Atraks can take a T crash lol

Honestly it only started to get a little tough at 3rd encounter. Golgoroth and Caretaker still go down really fast.

The one thing I don’t know about this mode is does it have to be all 4 bosses killed without wiping or can you wipe and then just redo the one you wiped on?
You can both wipe and leave/come back. Checkpoints for each boss

To those worrying about Legit Riven: I don't know if Bungie will patch the cheese (unless already stated). They said it would require them to fundamentally re-work the encounter in order for that to be patched.
riven cheese requires somewhat optimized damage which is gonna be impossible since it’s -20 light, they don’t have to change the encounter to fix the cheese for pantheon

Would love to see this be 12 player. I always feel every raid activity would be more enjoyable for some players with 12 players. The option to do that. This would allow 6-8 players to comfortably handle/learn mechanics and others to focus adds. Personally my brain has trouble handling/balancing so much at same time so that puts me out of raiding. I would love to, but it’s too much. Balancing communications, handling mechanics, while also keeping an eye on side of screen that says you are about to explode & Kill your team because of some debuff mechanical thing, while focusing on doing damage and being shot/flinched by adds everywhere. Its so much.
Maybe Bungie doesn’t care and thinks raiding should ONLY be for the few elite and small minority of players or maybe Bungie someday opens it up and makes more options and we see a massive surge in player numbers/engagement in raid activities.
My two cents. Maybe someone from Bungie reads this & thinks about it, mentions it to coworkers.
