The fact that they don’t give Jose his own mic and he just sounds like a dude sitting in the corner of the room giggling and making ad-libs, makes the entire show. Dude is the bass, keeps the vibe going.
Is he not in the corner? I've listened to like 40 of these and I assumed he was not seated at the same table or at least B & Jubal were next to the mic and he was at a different mic or just really far away lmao. I mean with howard stern or Joe Rogan he doesn't have the third person right there at the same table. Doesnt Robin sit quite a few feet away from Stern and the guest? They probably have it so that Jose's is faded / balanced to be not as prominent as Brooke and Jubal? I know this is a lot to nerd out about this but even though I am a total layman and don't know anything about this stuff I find recording, audio, sessions, music really badass
With my work I’ve hung out with women 15 - 20 years younger than me and he’s right; I personally still see them as children and they’ve not grown into mature women yet. Good call by him! 👏👏👏
Yeah but the problem is, that's not what he said. He tried to turn it around on her and make it about that SHE would find him too old and that SHE doesn't know what she wants and SHE's too inexperienced to even realize what she's getting herself into. THAT is the red flag. She doesn't need a partner who tells her what she's feeling. She needs a partner mature enough to listen to her feelings and believe them. And she's right, he could have just outright told her and been honest. Instead he kind of breadcrummed her by cancelling the first date, agreeing to a second one, and then cancelling that as well. Why string her along if he had already decided she's too young for him? He sounds like an immature coward, to be honest, and that tells you a lot about his personality. Conflict resolution would not be easy with him in a partnership since he doesn't have the courage to be honest. Way too many red flags and good on her too notice those at the young age of 23. Took me well into my 30s to finally learn to recognize red flags in the beginning.
In this case I have to admit he’s right. At 23 you’re not looking very long term, you’ll then realize that you’re completing different generations and like to do completely different things. There’s no need to get emotionally involved.
but you're not looking at the other side. older chicks tend to be more jaded and by the time she's past 30 most of them are considered leftovers. Ask China. Women know secretly as they get older their options are limited cause shes not as hot anymore. So even if the older chick does get with you you're gonna be question in the back your brain would she had gotten with you when she was young and hot vs when she was older. The fact that she's into this dude at that age vs ALL the other dudes is a VERY good sign.
I looked for long term at age 20. I didn't date for a casual person to hang out with. I dated to find a long term wife. Found my wife at age 21 and now 10 years later weve been happily married and we have a family together. That is what dating is for. Not a sex partner, not someone to hang out with until you find the right one, it should be a long term investment, and done God's way.
That just isn't true though, that's highly individual. I have never Not wanted long term, as a kid and adult all the same. The idea of being romantically involved with someone I don't at least see a Possible future with, never intrigued me
This man is completely in the right. Relationships like that are never good, and on top of that it is pretty gross. I am only 32 and I have an age limit, you have to at least be 25, and when I reach 35, that goes up to 30. Date around your own age people.
She was trying to act all mature and call the shots but he already made the decision not to date her, so she tried to make it look like she didn't get rejected on this radio show.
She is 23 not 12. She's a grown ass adult capable of making her own decisions. Get out of here with the "grooming" bullshit. Yeah if he feels uncomfortable about it then that is his deal. Try dating women in their late 30's, 40's or 50's. They come super loaded with a ton of baggage and headaches.
She is right that he should have told her instead of cancelling twice but then she started being angry which just seemed like a backwards way of getting out of dating an older guy.
Ummm, I guess I am supposed to feel terrible cause I'm in my 60's and my last girlfriend was 27, before 25, 24 and 23. And I have had several that are younger that reach out to me on Social Media, but it's just to young! But I NEVER hide my age, and yes, sometimes I have been older than, usually their mom's. 😂 But.... they don't care. At first it bothered me but then I realized that it's about the energy, emotional connection, and shared interests. Many of my buddys are young as well, and I can flow with pretty much anyone, so I always have fun. But some would say, "what could you possibly talk about?" a lot, if you are a fun person. I will say this. It was not until I turned 60 that it really hit me how irrelevant age is. In business I work 85% with professional males 40+. Tomorrow I will be dealing with a guy that is a 74 yr old New Yorker. I told him the other day that he wines like a woman, and he does. We were trying to get a Multi-billion dollar deal done and we're on a call with 5 people and he kept talking about stuff that he didn't know much about, so I shut him down several times in front of everyone, because he was inadvertently sabotaging the deal. Anyways, he has called me like three times, and each time it ended up in an argument, we just could not see eye to eye. But eventually he realized that he was wrong and humbly came back. He is an ADULT GROWN ass man, but he would get so emotionally closed off that he wouldn't listen to anything! There was no reasoning with him at all, and then he was butthurt because I wasn't backing off. That's when I told him that he's a New Yorker and he should have thicker skin. 😂 In my space this has happened just like this with over 50 adult males, and we are talking large transactions, and so many times I have heard them say, "well I'm just gonna stop this deal." AND THEY DID! The point of my realization? If grown men, dealing with money (which you would think would be based solely off logic) are so emotional that you can't come to an agreement on issues, nor logically and calmly come to a resolution, that taught me that getting along has very little to do with ones age! So, if I meet a 28 yr old that is calm, smart, spontaneous, knows how to communicate, and just happens to hot af, the age really means nothing. It's about how you deal with issues. Are you calm? Can you reason and share thoughts? Can they keep a positive attitude? Those are the things that make a relationship work with ANYONE. Age truly is nothing but a number. It's 4:30am after talking with people overseas, and I will be back up in a few hours. Some guys in their 30's have to be to bed by 10pm otherwise they are shot. So if any of you guys meet a young lady that you click with, and that's smart enough for you to respect, get over what seems to be the norm. It's your happiness! Who cares what others think. My first wife was white. Back then, many in society thought that was weird, like what could we have on common, what about kids, blah blah blah. It didn't matter. So don't let the opinions of others affect you, cause there are some incredible young ladies out there. But don't get me wrong, I would be happy to meet someone 30's 40's 50's, as long as they were super attractive and still fun. And after looking at countries to go to, I found Sicily Italy. Even women in their 50's are in better shape than women in their late 20's here! So I am looking forward to doing a lot of traveling 2025. Don't letb others dictate your happiness, grab love when it crosses your path. And, if you have money, never show it, your cars, your homes, your watches, or fancy dinners. Let her fall in love with you, and if she does without knowing the rest, you got a keeper!
I think it just depends on the people and if they want the same things and have the same interests. I’ve been with my husband for years and we’re 16 years apart 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Brooke really is just a rad feminist. Like there is nothing weird about a 40yo wanting to date a 20 yo. a 40yo probably won’t find someone his age that’s is attractive, able to have kids without dying, and most 40yo have a partner. there never will be anything wrong with it
Problem is he's making a big deal. Guys want and date younger chicks all the time she's a grown woman. The only reason it was a big deal because he made it one. If he had played it off and she really liked him I guarantee she wouldn't care about the age. I don't get why guys would wanna date someone whos older with baggage.
It doesn’t matter what a lot of guys do. He was clearly uncomfortable with it and her reaction to his age shows he was uncomfortable for a valid reason. I’m only 29 and I wouldn’t date a 23 year old because I am a single father of 2 with full custody of my sons, that works all the damn time. I’ve been married, I’ve been divorced, I go out maybe once every couple of months, and I spending pretty much all my free time playing with and watching Disney movies with my kids rather than going out for drinks or music. I don’t live a life that is super compatible or relatable for a lot of young women, so I prefer women in their early to mid 30’s
Most accurate comment here. I guarantee you if he didn't degrade himself in front of her like that she wouldn't given a damn about his age. she didn't even ask for it she didn't care. Most women really don't care about age that much especially older guys. All of that was 100% in his head lol.
He was right, she was not happy with his age. Listen to her voice once she finds out and stays distant :)
lol
Oh
As a 40+ man, I understand what he meant 100%. It wasn’t meant to be condescending at all. It was a hard truth that he didn’t want to admit to himself
The fact that they don’t give Jose his own mic and he just sounds like a dude sitting in the corner of the room giggling and making ad-libs, makes the entire show. Dude is the bass, keeps the vibe going.

@ Completely agree with you, he handled it extremely badly. Well, this show appears heavily scripted, but yup, if it’s real, agree with you! 👍

it depends. My sisters were married at 22 and 24, and I've known people who were in long term relationships then.

Always use the 1/2 your age + 7 rule. At your age 23-24 is your lower limit.
The guy cackling in the background is making me laugh even more
Oh this one is good. My cousin actually got in a relationship with someone that was older than her dad, so this story wasn't too surprising.
all my respect for the dude

I can’t believe they try to talk him into grooming. He was very true to his values.
