  • Chasing a La Ferrari around Silverstone.
    Unfortunately forced to have a coach in the car. As nice as he was would have preferred to have been alone and without the weight penalty ;)

    That LaFerrari only did what it did because of that monster engine, you had him on every single turn, but that instant acceleration from these hybrids is so fucking crazy! Epic!

      yeah, not much i could in the straights, but almost coasting in corners. same thing when i was chasing a 918 in a P1 a while ago. the 918s combo of torque and 4wd just makes it impossible to catch on straights, if there is a half competent driver

    A good copilot would figure out after half a lap that you know what you're doing, and would give you the Kimi treatment from there on. I am impressed with your patience, Alex.

    seems like the front axle grip & aero performance + your driving really make a huge difference when catchingthe Laf. Awesome video Sir

      Well seeing that the instructor didn't even know it was a LaFerrari it's understandable that you wouldn't expect him to know what an Aperta is.

    You short-shifted a lot. I guess the TDF is a bit tricky on exits, a bit of a wild cat? I never drove the TDF, but I guess the F12b is a smoother package, where you can get more out of the car?

    Great to watch. Surreal to see something pulling away from an F12TDF! Question for you: F12TDF or 812 Superfast?

    I have to honestly say if you listened to the instructor a number of times you would have binned it or spun, very good driving 👍👌😎 you clearly can drive very very well.

    • @AlexanderWest
      @AlexanderWest  8 лет назад +4

      i tried to ignore him as much as possible while in the car. He was a nice guy, could have done with less talking though

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews 8 лет назад +1

      Don't blame you as to be honest you must need all your concentration for a car with that power and capability.
      Like i said you didn't need the help but of course he has to assume you can't drive as well as him being an advance instructor but some people just have the talent. Nice driving once again.
      I'm sure he was a nice fella, he did make me laugh a few times.
      Haha a gag perhaps next time =D

    • @jiancheng97
      @jiancheng97 8 лет назад

      What I see is right hand drive, but usually these Ferrari are left hand drive, no? So I am a little bit confused here

    • @AlexanderWest
      @AlexanderWest  8 лет назад +3

      Hi, not sure why you are asking, obviously a right hand car (it is a UK registered car). Only the LaFerrari is in Left hand drive only (like the P1 and 918 btw). the tdf is based on the regular F12, so you can have it anyway you want

    • @jiancheng97
      @jiancheng97 8 лет назад

      Hi, Sir, thank you for replying. I am asking because I always think most limited Ferrari are mostly left hand drive. But I lived in SEA, so it's hard to believe that this gorgeous F12 TDF is right hand drive! Loved it! I hope you can post more videos on your channel. 😀

    • @AlexanderWest
      @AlexanderWest  8 лет назад +3

      all the limited cars that are based off an existing road car, so the 458 SpecialeA and the F12 tdf are available in both.
