Oh, thank you for publishing this video, which provides a clear method about how to apply the BS model to value a company. When I learning ACCA AFM, although it explains several valuation methods like net book value, PE ratio method, FCF method, the textbook did not talk more about this advanced method. Thank you again! Also for the people who want to understand more about the content of your video, such as FCF, valuing bonds, and MM theory, I advise you guys to learn the materials in ACCA AFM text-book.
Not sure how such a masterful demonstration doesn't get more views and likes, or comments. Though I suspect that, going on your past record, you don't care about that so much, as you have given so much, freely, with no promise of gratitude. If it's any consolation, I am probably older than you by quite a few years, and yet you have been a major influence on this lowly MBA ex-Banker and part-time teacher. I don't know of a more productive and generous valuation guru. So thank you for everything. I have a residual question. I remember looking at option pricing to value firms (aside from real options) many years ago. Back then, there was a tenet that equity could be priced as an option on debt for healthy companies too. This is an old video and I don't know that you'll be checking comments, but I would love to hear your views on the use and misuse of option valuation of firms, regardless of their health/distress status. Greetings from over the pond and many many thanks for all you have brought to the scene for so long.
Hi- great video but you forgot to value the equity using relative approach. Also , you don’t have any videos regarding valuing distressed debt. Can you please post a video valuing distressed debt?? Thanks
It is an approximation. In real life people want to eyeball and not be 100% accurate (law of diminishing returns : it takes a lot of time/efforts to be 100% accurate)

Why do you use weighted average maturity of debt for the option maturity date?....should it not be the date when first debt tranche becomes due?
