Thank you Ratha for your amazing design aesthetic, attention to detail and exceptional CAD build plan skills. Really, bro. That cart is impressive. My first project was to build one, too. But the son gave me a HF cart for Fathers Day. So, you know how the rest went.
Well done! I'm in the process of laying out the sheet metal side of my garage. To save space I am thinking I'm going to build a welding cart that fits under my fab table for storage.
That's a great way to save space! I sometimes have to weld things outside. Therefore having a dedicated mobile cart for my mig welder makes its a little easier for me. Unfortunately I would of like to store it under my welding table but that thing is 4ft x 6ft and weights 1000lbs. It has casters but I can't imagine having to push it out the garage to the driveway every time.
Great execution. If you don;t mind, I have one quick helpful tip. Try not to wrap the torch cable with tight radius turns. The liner will kink over time as will need to be replaced sooner. Big looping turns is much better. All the best to you...... 👊👊 I just subscribed as your Solidworks skills are amazing. Looking forward to checking out the rest of your content. 👍👍😎👍👍
Cool and straight forward design build. After 3 months is there anything that you would do differently ? Any mods that come to mind. I've just started on a similar build and for one, I'm adding a tray level on top of the welder for a catch all as I work. Like a roof rack for the cart. Thanks for sharing the video !
So far it’s worked out great. Getting ready to add a second machine (tig). Not sure it’s that’s a change but an addition to the cart. Thanks for watching

Christopher, by trade I'm a Mechanical Engineer. I got tired of sitting behind the desk just doing CAD design so down the road I picked up learning how to weld to add to the mix and so far I've been loving it! It has open my eyes at opportunities in the fabrication world.
It’s a grizzly horizontal/vertical metal bandsaw. Each has there pros and cons. I’ve had both and prefer the bandsaw. It does cuts slower takes up more space but I like the coolant feature and that it doesn’t shoot metal chips everywhere . And I like that it also can be use as a bandsaw too.
How much money do you have in the steel for this project? That's the one thing I always find difficult to estimate on these videos. Very new to metal work, so a price list on the stock you used would be extremely helpful. Nice work!
