  • So You’re Back was written as a reflection on the political climate in the world today, and how we never seem to learn from history.
I know you too well and we’ve been here before
Our ignorance awoke you from your sleep
We’re trapped inside the devil’s loop
    All bruised and sore
And now it’s much too late to sit and weep

"Wake Us Up" is the debut album from Swedish duo Långbacka/Bådagård. Pop meets folk in a way never heard before.
The music is best described as modern, indie flavored folklore. As if Regina Spektor had moved to the Scandinavian mountains and learned how to play the violin.
Sprung from different parts of the music scene, Maja Långbacka from traditional folk music and Matilda Bådagård from jazz and pop, the duo have explored a new sound where they let all of their influences and experiences delicately brew together in a melting pot. The result is a self-composed, self-produced and self-confident studio album where all of the their musical creativity creates something brand new and unheard.
It’s close and suggestive, but at the same time edgy and bombastic. If your ears are familiar with the sound of Ane Brun, First Aid Kit or Susanne Sundfør, you just have to listen to Långbacka/Bådagård.
L/B is more than an artist duo and a production collective. It’s a sisterhood; a power source that creates music beyond borders. Lyrics with a lot of social criticism, hidden behind poetic formulations, and a cinematic, musical Nordic Noir landscape.
