@Lord Belial Dude, you need your metal card revoked if you think Maiden and Priest are washed up. Redeemer of Souls was solid and Firepower was one of the best Metal albums in years. As for Maiden, it's true that they haven't released an album without fillers since Brave New World, but the albums they've released since then have plenty of songs that are absolute gems.
@Lord Belial I believe most of those bands you listed are inferior to both Maiden and Priest. Funny, it's almost as if music taste is subjective and not possible to nail down as undeniable truth. Fact is that those two bands did a lot for Metal, they had a large part in the creation of the genre as we know it today. If you can't appreciate that, then that's your problem. If you don't like what they've been putting out recently, that's also your problem. What I'm willing to bet on, however, is that those bands you listed as better than Maiden and Priest, probably disagree with your assessment and hold those two bands in very high regard.
