The blue Jays and the expos were getting so spectacular for the teams representing Canada in the 90s. Blue Jay's won back to back championships, and the expos were robbed by the strike of 1994. It there was no strike, the expos go all the way.
I still have the VHS from this game, WBAL-TV 11 ,which was the Baltimore CBS Affiliate at the time before switching to NBC in 1995, did a whole special around the game.
I was almost at this game (I was 15 at the time) but we couldn't get tickets and a family funeral came up unexpectedly at the time. I was able to make it to the All-Star Fanfest around the game though
@@remystern7818 Yeah kinda. Toronto winning the previous World Series was a major boost in fan support from Canada like how the Raptors winning the NBA Finals was.
The Montreal Expos were never the same after the MLB strike of 94. All the good players left the team. It was their year of 1994.
These players are more better to watch on RUclips, than the players of today's MLB.
💯

That's a huge assumption I see a lot of Canadians make all the time.

Damn the Jays were so stacked that year
Damn. They mention the 1933 all star game, which was 60 years prior to this game….we are already halfway to another 60 years passed. Damn time flies.
That ovation for Ripken's intro was awesome!!!

You can't plan death, unless (background California ft 2pac)
It's suicidal

ha ha! ceecil is slang for cocaine
This should be called "Hall of Fame" game!
Minus Barry Bonds
Tons of Classic Rock in this broadcast! Stairway to Heaven surprised me.
Boys of Summer is my jam
I miss the pre-interleague days.
The ovation that Cal gets is pretty neat
59:20 Jon Kruk vs Randy Johnson
jon kruk says he don't want apart of it well it's a case of take it or leave it
You can be sure to hear everyone say "OHHHH!!" during the National Anthem at Camden Yards lol!
21:38 that first strike call looked like he was gonna punch the batter lol
That was Jim McKean’s called strike mechanic.
2:34:05 The look Cito Gaston gave there is the reason Baltimore hates him so bad. It made us Oriole fans so mad.
damn i completely forgot about this hater move
Love Cito ❤️
My favorite All-Star game ever! Obviously because Kirby Puckett won MVP ;)
@1:40:40. Classic John Kruk after the Randy Johnson wild first pitch
I fell asleep to the history of super Mario speed runs and woke up in the 4th inning of the 1993 asg
25:29 Loved his Bat movement
National anthem was crazy weird. I loved it.
Not sure what wrong with the minds of the current uniform designers... this is probably the best example of how they made the perfect uniforms.
people loved kirby..no ovation beats cal!
lmao@ blue jays getting booed !
Mr.Geddy Lee from the rock band Rush.🤟
Barry larkin is the most athletic Short Stop ever.
Didnt he play football at Michigan too?
@@jamesbowman8138 He was recruited to play Defensive back at Michigan but chose baseball instead.
Playing on Astro Turf really skewed his stats.
No he wasn't, Ozzie Smith was
Never saw Larkin do a backflip did you?
Weird at :27 the announcer says "the Colorado Rockies" followed by "the new Florida marlins"
It’s Oriole Park AT Camden Yards.
The same year they filmed major league 2 in that ballpark.
1:20:55 lodged ball ruling
I like the Brewers uniforms from this era.
I think they were in the AL in that time, not in the NL.
He called him Bobby . 00:22
Yeah, he did go by Bobby Kelly for a short time.
Clemente hated that name.🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
1:02 They boo me everywhere what can I tell ya huh?
Funny enough, this was before he would eventually play for the O’s
National anthem was pretty awkward
It was written as a poem during the Battle of Baltimore in 1814. It was recited as such.
Puckett, Dalton, Gwynn, Beck not with us anymore.
I definitely remember all the Jays being booed.
Remember when the Phillies where stacked?
I was at my Late Grandma's house in Atlanta, Georgia watching the News of Davey Allison death on then CBS affiliate now FOX WAGA-TV.
Why does almost everyone from the Phillies look like a young Toby Keith?
Anyone else say to themselves 'roids or no 'roids as each player was announced?
This was definitely pre roids Bonds
See Bonds was big back then, lol
He was not on steroids in this scene.
The big cat 🇻🇪
Venezuela has some excellent players in the MLB.
Sorry but why were the fans booing the American League in an American League city? The announcer said it was justified.
Because Mickey Tettleton (at the time the AL’s home run leader) was snubbed on the reserve team in favor of Cito’s guys on the Blue Jays
Payback for a rude crowd who booed the Jays all game! Way to go Cito!
What’s with all the blue jays
Defending World Series champs. Repeated too
bostonredsox49 so it was like the year all the royals players were in the all star game for no reason.
The Blue Jay's mgr picks the reserves. That's why the crowd booed all the Jay's as they were introduced.
Respectively Many guys would never have gotten into an All Star game without that route.
@@remystern7818 Yeah kinda. Toronto winning the previous World Series was a major boost in fan support from Canada like how the Raptors winning the NBA Finals was.
Langston K'd Larkin on three pitches @ 29:36
Maddux?
American league park booing American league players??
Booing Toronto, AL East rival of the hosting Baltimore Orioles
