In the end the grade represents the easiest way up the boulder, which could mean a person with a completely different body type spent a long time to figure out the subtleties of the boulder and it actually feels like v4/5 for them. Might feel like 6/7 when you have a different body type but thats the beauty of climbing :)
Great video! Im starting to get into outdoor bouldering and while indoors V7 is feeling more and more in the bag with 8s in reach i have yet to do a 5 outdoors! Hopefully this week it'll come together
Awesome! That’s good work in the gym. I’ve mostly noticed outside it just takes more time commitment to fine tune the beta with more options available. Good luck!
The thing with theese kinds of outdoor boulders is, that the people who graded it easier, probably have some intricate beta, or used a hold/foothold thats not obvious. Could be the case here, doesnt have to be :)
Yeah I agree. Sometimes it is not obvious what the line is if it is squeezed between other lines. People do it in a more "eliminate" way than others - not using good holds out to the left or right. Which makes the grades people give it vastly different!
Not trying to be judgmental with this comment but you should probably be down spotting your homie instead of filming from the top. That first boulder has a bit of a sketch landing there
We had a good amount of pads and the landing was pretty straight down when going for the dyno. I’m used to not having a spotter lol. Thanks for watching man
We’ve been climbing together for years and have our preferences. If one of us wanted a spot, we would ask, otherwise we prefer the videography. We also have more pads than we know what to do with.
Really enjoyed trying to guess the grades on both climbs! Great video Justin 🔥
Thanks buddy 🙏

That’s the beauty of climbing! 💯 you are absolutely right
I mean, I've found it's more, one person's grade of the climb, as opposed to the easiest. You might find an easier move and grade it lower
I think it could be you find an easier move, or you find a move to be easier because of your body type and style 🤷♂️
Trevor's last line made me laugh and inhale some food 😂
😂 I know dude
Well, I didn’t know that, but it’s funny lol

Exactly, my crux beta vs my buddies. Used an extra hold that made it a lot easier
🤙
LEGENDARY
💪
@6:30 = something better lol
Also, that “mmmm” sound at that same time. Did you have the mic on for that?
I had a mic on each of us for a good chunk of it, including that I believe
It was so much better… I might send that guy

😂 it’s all part of his training

I never spot this guy 🤷♂️

True!
