He didn't have that move yet at this point in the series
It's not accurate to call that "holding back" though, he did try his hardest to win in the last battle. Also, what's the point in giving such non-specific spoilers? I mean he won't get the right idea just based on that, but it's still completely unnecessary to give him expectations about what's to come.

No he still has yet to improve it he hasn't mastered even with the rainbow inferno blast he has the final inferno blast which is several times bigger and more broken compared to these small frys inferno blast😅
