This too happens in the human world. A guy brings chipotle home, guy leaves food on counter to take care of something, girl enters the scene and starts snacking on the food, and guy comes back staring in disbelief and quiet annoyance, eager for his meal back.

I doubt this. It’s s young male, not long ago he was “begging” to share his mother’s kill, he may simply have fallen back on habit, and so may she, otherwise I wouldn’t have expected her to tolerate him eating next to her. Normally you’d expect them to fight and whoever holds their ground keeps the kill. But they chose to share instead, and both of them ate. What a fascinating interaction. I seriously wonder if he is one of her cubs from a previous litter.
