I agree with everything you said in this review. It’s like a non-edible scent made from gourmand ingredients. So you expect gourmand, but it doesn’t deliver. And it’s also very light. It’s hard for me to say exactly what it smells like. I didn’t really get either cocoa or chestnuts. I’ve been burning BBW candles for 10 years, and I’m starting to feel like their best candle days are behind them.

Got 2 of these for the reduced price drop. Smelled it earlier but Smelled light on cold and i agree perfume. I decided to burn it in my bedroom just to be safe. Love the wrapping tho. Thanks for reviewing Eric.
I was really looking forward to this candle. Has a beautiful jar style, but the fragrance is a little odd. With a name like Cocoa-Roasted Chestnuts, I was hoping for something a little more foodie.😊

Im Excited to burn this One! It has the Same Chestnut note we see in Chestnut & Clove❤️❤️ Chesnut & Clove is one of my favorites for winter and was my “Christmas Fragrance “ for years! The last few yrs I been burning The Perfect Christmas as my Christmas Candle but maybe I’ll switch it up this year. Hope this is Similar to chestnut & clove burning, although I may or may not have a small hoard of Chestnut & clove. lol! To me Pistachio & toasted vanilla is boring and a scent I feel all candle companies do similarly. It always gets great reviews tho. Great video as always.

I was waiting on your burn review before I went ahead and returned mine, just in case it magically transformed, lol, but I was 99% sure that this is exactly how you'd feel, as we seem to experience fragrances similarly. I'm so glad I didn't light mine & this solidified my plan! I'm hoping to just exchange it for either a Raspberry Thumbprint when it comes out if I like it, or another Pistachio & Toasted Vanilla, without any issues, since they are all the same price, but we shall see! I'm sorry you had to "take one for the team" Eric but wonder if yours would still be eligible for an exchange since it's "gently used" they "just want you to love it" and you didn't have "100% satisfaction"😂 Worth a try...🤷♀️ Out of curiosity, does any other company/brand make a good authentic Roasted Chestnuts candle? I have the receipt and I didn't love it.😂😀
I’ve just been so disappointed with all candle brands these days☹️ GC has been light and sooty. HW has had no throw issues for 3 years. BBW has been light and scent notes are completely off. Kringle has great performance, but I have to burn two just to smell them. I just want a candle to fill my entire home again. Is that so much to ask?
I hear you! I would love that too. I feel like what is going on at these candle companies is they are trying to cut costs and what we are getting are inferior candles.😒

Like you and so many others, Cocoa-Roasted Chestnuts is a big fat disappointment. It's not as bad after 2 burns, but it may just be that my nose is growing accustomed to its bizarre smell. I just picked up Winter Pear Forest at your suggestion and look forward to burning it this weekend. I also exchanged my Spiced Citrus Grove after one burn because it was very sooty and it changed the fragrance. In its place I got Falling Flurries as a backup to the one I have in my collection. Looking forward to seeing what else is coming out for Christmas. Im not impressed with this one either... the only one i liked was the winter pear forest. The Birchwood orchard i couldnt smell either. I left a review on BBW not to blind buy and Im getting so many thumbs down. But its a fair warning. I got perfumey protein powder drink mix. No hot cocoa powder or any cocoa at all. It was gross . Sales associate said she didnt like it either. I was so looking forward to it so disappointing . At least I have Praline Delight thats what I was expecting from this .

This candle collection is very pretty. Love the look of the jar. My nose picks up a perfumey scent that I'm not crazy about. Others though, really like this candle. 😊
It really smells like vanilla mocha martini body care. Definitely getting that perfume vibe but im not mad cause its unique at least. Its really hard to tell by reviews these days. I swear every candle i look at lately, you get 10 people that say its light and 10 that say powerhouse. Theres gotta be some major batch issues going on.
Vanilla Mocha Martini, that is a way better match for this candle! So far my favorite in this group is the Winter Lear Forest. Overall, most of these new candles have been light for me.😒

This was the first candle I placed in my cart when they became available n I'm totally disappointed in it! My boyfriend went n got my bopis order n this is the first one I smelled n OMG, it is AWFUL! Mine smells like straight up mens aftershave n it literally gave me a headache from just smelling it! This candle is So Bad! I'm definitely exchanging this candle! Oh well, there will others to enjoy, like u said, so it's watever, but I just can't believe this is the smell that comes from this candle! Anyway, thanks for the review!😊 The Birchwood Orchard is just Applewood & Clove from last year, it's a repackage! Idk about the other 2, but I think I may try the pear one! I didn't get that one or the orange one cause I don't like clove that much, but we'll see!😊

I'm on my 3rd burn, and strangley the scent is growing on me. I probably won't purchase it again but am enjoying it. It does have a VERY light throw.

Love the packaging on these candles. I'm not crazy about the perfume scent thats mixed in. Still, glad I have it in my candle collection. 😀
