Love the Ford 8830. I drove a brand new one on grain trailers in the early 90's, the farmer had on one test when an ancient 4x4 Bedford artic tractor unit I had been using died in the yard. He normally had Fastracs for grain hauling but one of his new Fastracs had to go back to the dealer for some reason or other, so I ended up driving a brand new 8830 instead of the Bedford. Loved its powershift, obviously not as quick as the JCB's but a fine bit of kit. I remember the farmer saying it was Ford's most powerful non articulated tractor.
You have to love those Blue and White tractors (on hind sight theres not much white on this one, I'm a fan of the ford but not so keen on the Vaderstad! thanks for sharing
