Thank you so much for letting us know where to put the attention. I haven’t checked if you posted but I’m interested in the technical aspect of how to set a good sound , your mic and is it directed to the phone.. will have to search...I want to set me up with a nice sound like you have:)🙂👌🏻
That's a great strategy! Many people use covers to grow the fanbase first and then upload originals. I would possible add sprinkle in the originals AS you grow x
@@LynzCrichton beautiful idea. I'm an artist myself but from a listeners perspective. I love hearing *good* covers with a little bit of the artist sprinkled in. change the verses or intro/outros ,maybe add an instrument. make it you❤
Hi Charles. Thank you so much for this video 😊 i was just searching for informations how to grow my music instagram and your video popped up! I have found it very helpful!! Greetings from Spain 🙂
Thank you so much! You’ve broken this down so well! I’ve been experimenting with Reels and generating many views from that…the challenging part is having that concert to new followers. Thanks for the tips….New subscriber here 🙋🏽♀️
hey bro! really helpful. I'm an Indie musician like you and I suck at social media it makes my manager want to kill me XD I will be following you cause this is exactly what I need to learn. Thanks bro!
Hey thanks for this! Suppose it's all about retention at this stage, looking forward to releasing a debut single but anxious about how far this can be heard, how do we get people in in the first place?
Hey Matt, I recommend finding channels where you can get organic reach. Like tiktok as an example. If you have a budget then you can also get this reach with paid ads.
@@CharlesCleyn thanks Charles, I'm slowly working away at insta and Facebook, although won't have much value in paid ads until the song comes out. TikTok is an interesting one for reach though as it's quite newly emerging
Thank you for the great video Charles - I would be grateful for your opinion on what constitutes high organic growth platforms that raise awareness for indie artists in 2022
Thankyou for the excellent video Charles! Am I right in getting the idea from your video that one, if they chose, could merely use platforms like tiktok and instagram to post 10 second previews or "trailers" of songs that they either will post or have already posted on RUclips and just say something like, "Watch the full song on RUclips." Or do you think that would seem course in the eyes of users of instagram and tiktok users especially since you said in the video that your profile shouldn't just be about telling people to go watch this or that.
TikTok and Insta can definitely be used as more short form content platforms - so yes, putting teasers on IG and TT is a great way to keep your music top of mind and create 'buzz' around new tracks. A good CTA would be to send people to the longer form content (YT / Spotify / Bandcamp / Store) but you don't have to always specifically say it .... just make sure the links TO those things are there 🤩 Hope that helps x
The thing is If I play my music music I composed on Instagram or on yt then there is always the music theft Someone’s takes my melody and use it without my permission Same with photography people take your pics and use them without ur permission for commercial use
I'm trying to post a video for me playing chopin's nocturne but instagram keeps deleting it for copyrights while it is public piece with no copyrights, any advise plzzzzzz?
Their stupid bot that’s what it is Some dumb ai unable to read what’s copyright or not deletes the video s I played some covers too and I noticed I got only 5 2 8 views lol It’s a greedy dumb social platform It’s better to post on yt only unfo
hey man! ive been doing lots of busking recently and had people ask for my social media but i don’t have any, is instagram the best platform to set one up?
Great video man, glad it’s actual advice and not a “hOw tO gAiN 10k fOlLoWeRs iN 10 dAyS” video.

As someone with real weak social media skills (yeah, I used to live under a rock), these informations might be just what I need! Thanks!

Hey. Do you think uploading music covers first and garnering a fanbase before uploading originals work better?
